Who is the best player we've signed in the PL era from one of Europe's minor leagues? Best I can think of is Tomaz Radzinski, Davie Weir and Duncan Ferguson.

Ask yourself. "What would Lewis Hamilton say?"

If you're including Belgium as a minor league then Fellaini was surely a bigger success than Radzinski.

Super Kevin Campbell

Yeah I'd have him over Coleman... Yes Seamus cost pennies and has been a great servant, but we wouldn't have even been a premier League club if we hadn't signed super kev

If you were to count the English Championship then you could argue Tim Cahill from Millwall was very good bit of business.

Weir is a very good shout

Someone had already mentioned him earlier in the thread so not my shout. I was just amazed at the partnership the two formed at such a ripe old age

TBH I'm not sure Radzinski even gets into the top 10.

Weir, Gough, Coleman, Stubbs, Fellaini, Dunc, Mirallas

A few more from the Championship if you include them too....Cahill, Stones, DCL

No doubt a few others that have been missed too.

Oh man Richard Gough was like some sort of mythical Greek god of defending. He was a bit before my time but he that me a thing or two about what I should respect, and expect, from a centre back during his time here.

I’m doing him a disservice by calling him “just” phenomenal.

I considered mentioning Gough in my original post but discovered we got him from Nottingham Forest.

I didn't mention Championship players and lower as we have a decent success rate with those and the thread came to mind in the light of Cenk's recent move.
