Teenage players we've bought from other clubs

We signed these three 19 year olds:

Andy King from Luton in 1976 by Billy Bingham
Graeme Sharp from Dumbarton in 1980 by Gordon Lee
Trevor Steven from Burnley in 1983 by Howard Kendall

Sharpy and Tricky were slow starters, but..............it all worked out!

Take heart - you're in good company, Moise!

Linked with 20 year old Canadian/American Jonathan David

Hey, Jude Bellingham must have some potential, the 16 year old has been a regular for Birmingham since the start of this season

Jonathan David, together with Alphonso Davies (now at Bayern) are at the front of a pretty exciting group of Canadian talent. I *think* David would qualify for a work permit on appeal after applying criteria (second-tier league, Europa participation, transfer fee and wage packet, etc). He plays pretty much anywhere across the front/on the wings. 19 goals + 10 assists in all comps (36 appearances) is definitely solid for a player born in 2000.
