Has he got any pace left? Can't say I've seen him play in recent times.

Weir and Stubbs worked out well because we played with a defensive line that suites, not sure Ancelloti would want to do that though?

Iiiiiiiii dunno yano, that news has wobbled me a bit more but I do think ultimately I'd prefer Gabriel or Todibo over dead money.

The idea that young defenders will learn loads off him is a bit wobbly too. Does it work like that or is it more the case that young players are better off playing?

We need to be smarter than ever and being on the hook for a 36-37 yo CB isn't great, and if he gets his second year then we'd be sitting with an 85k per week centre back who was THIRTY EIGHT.

NB: if we sell Keane and get Silva plus a mid term investment then fine no probs.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

My concern is he's done well at PSG because he's had a solid midfield working in front of him (Gana etc) to protect him somewhat. He won't get that kind of protection at Everton, which could leave him exposed too much. Now whether his age will go against him in that respect or his years of experience will help him is open to debate.

Only based on reports, but even those have changed now stating he will accept less than 100k per week!

All good points and that is why when we had two old centre backs in Weir and Stubbs it worked to an extent, but I'm sure Carlo Fantastico is aware of this

Duncan Castles reckons we've offered Silva a 2 year deal.

So definitely no truth in this.
