Quote from: RiskyThat is actually a great header too, brilliantly taken!

Not to shabby a free kick either. Great delivery.

Quote from: GoughieIs Beckham at AC Milan yet, iv not heard anything for a while!

What are the chances of us getting VDV without any compertiton from a bigger club?
The good thing is that its World Cup year and he needs game time to get into the squad.
Was he the player BK said we missed out on because of time in the summer?

Something rings a bell that it was semi-official, although if it came from BK, it probably a load of bollocks.

I think Beckham has been confirmed.

I'm sure there was talk of us going back in for Van der Vart in January with a view to a loan. Can't remember if it was "official" or a rumour on here.

Sounds like Donovan is a deal too, don't know if he can come straight away or has to wait until Jan?

The Everton Forum / Essien injured...

Quote from: ConfuciusFair enough Mahoney and it is part of the game, just hoping people get injured is just not in the spirit of the game. Something I feel is being slowly eroded. Well, Im in a minority of one but so be it.And also, i wouldn't want to carry on like all the idiots on other sites do. they really are classless.

I think most would agree with you. I hate when people post that they are happy when someone gets an injury, especially a serious one. Even worse when a minority are happy when it's one of ours. (and I don't mean your Jo comment) I think in the context of Chris's point, Essian has a minor strain, which can only be good for us.

The Everton Forum / [poll] Who's the better prospect?

Quote from: GashColeman needs 10 or 12 games before we can start to really see what he's about. He was no doubt buzzing on adrenalin, and who can blame him. Good early signs though, but lets give him a few games and see what happens.

He will have a shitter at some point, hopefully people will see beyond that.

Seriously doubt it. They will  all be calling for Hibbo back in the team and saying why Moyes is so stupid not to play Everton's ost experienced RB.

I would think Hibbo will be in the team for a while yet. But hopefully Coleman will get chances to come on. Within time, I'm sure he'll win his place on merit, not injuries.

Quote from: ConfuciusFrom BBC article on the game:

Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti:
"Michael (Essien) has a problem with his leg. We will look at him over the next few days and check on him on.

"We hope it's not a big problem. I think he will not be able to play on Saturday."

Yup, just been on SSN. Confirmed he's out.

Quote from: GashWatching Man Utd game. 3-1 up, Owen hat-trick. They just said in the commentry that 2 CSKA players have been found guilty of drug use. So CSKA could be kicked out and Wolfsburg could go through instead.

Yeah I heard they announced this in the commentary but this is already known and the 2 CSKA players were already suspended apparently.

Can't see that they'd kick CSKA out to be honest, although in fairness you never know what the fuck UEFA are going to do next!

CSKA will be kicked out out. Guess who is the next best team in the comp.......

YOU FUCKING GUESSED IT

Depends how they do it. they may just move Besiktas up to third. The hearing isn't until the day before the draw for the next round. So it could be a nervous wait for some.

Quote from: ThomWhy are we all still talking about him not being able to play? Atletico finished bottom because Apoel score one more and conceded five less. Therefore Atletico aren't in the Europa League so we can play Heitinga.

Third according to this mate. It goes on head to head, not G/D

The Everton Forum / Essien injured...

Quote from: ConfuciusNot a personal dig at you mate but I hate threads like this. I want us to play against their best all the time and never wish for injury on anyone(ok, maybe Jo sometimes)Hope he is fit. Awesome player and one of my favourites in the world

Yup, can't wait for him to rip us to bits.

I wouldn't want a player to get a serious injury. But if Drogba, Essian, Lampard Anelka and Terry all pulled a hammy this evening, you wouldn't here me complaining.

Quote from: RiskyYeah I know that but I'd still fancy a makeshift Utd back four over ours to be honest.

I'm surprised that Wolfsburg only managed 1 goal, but I would hate to play them unless we had a decent defence out.

Should have been 2-2. Bloke missed an open goal, just needed to side foot it in, complete miss, United broke straight up the park and scored the 3rd.
