The Everton Forum / Europa League/Heitinga

Still a bit vague. This is the quote from the OS when he signed for us.

Unfortunately, Heitinga will be unable to play for Everton in the Blues' Europa League Group Stage games having already featured for Atletico in the Champions League play-off round earlier this season. Should Everton progress though, he could figure in the latter stages of the competition.

The word "could" is the vague bit.

I thought he could play regardless of where they finish?

Quote from: andreiScottish football is a joke

I take your point. Unfortunately jokes are meant to be funny. The state of Scottish football isn't funny. It's on the brink of collapse.
Quote from: blarginsYes, it is true, it is legal, end of.

It is also true in that he has carried on Tony Blair's mantle of fucking England up.

There, the Scots have their revenge for Bannockburn!

Don't need revenge, Scotland won the battle of Bannockburn. ;)

Here's a bit from the BBC about Kirkby

The media had kicked the tits out of his all day. Pain in the arse listening to it. Instead of giving Howard and Everton a bit of credit, they have turned to into another reason to mention the world cup.

Only another 7 months to go. :bang:

All kicked off in that game. 5 sent off. 2 during the game, and 3 in a tunnel fight at full time. One if the players sent off was an unused sub!

4 Hearts and 1 Hamilton in total. PMSL at Michael Stewart when he was sent off, walked down the tunnel, went to boot a water bottle and landed flat on his arse. lolol

Not the best video, but the only one I can find.

Hibbert? Baines? Howard? Distin?

Cahill suspended, looks like Yobo could be doubtful.

I would give it to Howard, although I don't like the idea of keepers being captain, but he's probably the most vocal.

I feel quite sorry for the guy to be honest. He seems to have been the pawn in a battle between clubs and no doubt agents. Hindsight is wonderfull, but he probably wishes he'd just stayed put at Sheffield for another year or two.

Much as I want him to do well, I'm starting to run out of positives for him. Caught offside again when we were in decent positions. The jury's still out, but their getting close to a verdict, and it doesn't look favourable.
Really encouraging performance. I don't think he'll slot in at number 1 right back just yet, but looked very good. Calm and assured considering it was his home debut. He was probably running on a bit if adrenalin too. Very well played.

Been a superb buy for us. the sooner they get that contract extension under his nose the better. He's someone that can give us a bit of hope when he comes of the bench. Able of changing a game with one swing of his boot.

Quote from: ConfuciusIt is time to stop being so negative. Poor record or what not. Time to beat Spurs. We have played poorly against all the crap teams so it is time to win against the big boys so to say. Otherwise forget about salvaging anything from this season. I can feel us whipping Spurs. Just like the 95 FA cup semi final. Amokachi destroyed Spurs that day. Time for Yakubu to do the same.
Saha and Yakubu are as good if not better than Defor and Crouch.

A negative, positive. :hmmm:
