I am rather optimistic about this.  He was never really used in his loan move to Bayern last year, and I actually think he would benefit from really being thrown into the team, which is what I think we can expect in this situation.  I think even in the US the jury is still out with Donovan as to whether he can step up in big situations, and I think this move will go a long way to answering those questions.  That being said, his talent cannot be questioned, he is the first name on the United States team sheet.

Well there asn't a page for David Osei, but Dave Osei. However it said he was a footballer and a striker, so I'm assuming that's not a gigantic coincidence...

That Dave Osei was also 26, dutch and released by FC Dordrecht in 2008. Somehow don't expect he's been taking a gap year for a train trip round Europe if the likes of Chelsea are interested in signing him. Do you?
