Re: European Football Thread

Wasn’t sure where to put this but sold a set of Bose Open Ultra earphones to Luis Figo this morning.

Bottled getting a photo, kicking myself all day about it.

Re: Beto

Niasse was the worst player I’ve seen I think. Control the ball?? It bounced off his shins every single time. I couldn’t deal with his massive grin every time his shot ended up in row z or a simple pass went out for a throw in. Utter disgrace that transfer Yet still a step up from Beto. Every singl...

Re: Beto

Must be the first time on NSNO the words "Niasse" and "could control the ball" we're used in the same sentence. Woeful footballer and his career's proven it, won a raffle and came to Everton and rather fittingly his signing summed up how the next few years would go for the club....

The one who scored a brace against Bournemouth. The first of which was a lovely goal better than anything Beto has done so far.

Re: Beto

At least Niasse could control the ball. If you had a shot every time Beto put the ball where he intended, you’d finish the game stone cold sober.

Players that do well in Italy and sink in the premier league are a dime a dozen. We’ve had more than one here.

Re: Beto

Niasse was, and I do not exaggerate, a league one or lower level footballer. His signing for £13m could I think be one day rumbled as actual financial fraud. So you think Beto is Premier league level? The only value put upon Niasse by me is in a head to head against a player who is one of the worst...

I can do that too. 👍

Love how opinion is turned into fact sometimes.

Come on what? I know Niasse is a low bar but what was it? 8 goals in 35ish appearances? And most of them were 5 minute cameos.

He scored some alright goals and always gave his all.

Can’t fault Betos desire but bloody hell, the guy is a bumbling idiot on the pitch.

Re: Beto

We've brought in a better version of Oumar Niasse. Better in relation to him. Not in relation to anything else. But, Niasse had little purple patches and grabbed the odd goal. Mainly because defenders are drilled to death on what an attacking footballer is going to do 90% of the time. These guys do...

Re: Relegation

I understand, and I'm not having a crack at you, but as you know form tables are entirely dependent upon who played who, and when the curated snapshot is taken. They're used as a means to push a talking point rather than being actually something of value, or interest. As I said a week or two ago, E...

If it's in relation to my opinion on shit football analysis, that irks me a little, yeah.
I don’t see an issue with it? It’s a form table from a set date, same as form table from the start of the year or any other arbitrary period of time.
