Development Vs Impact
I think it's interesting to see the divided opinions on players like Barry and Alcaraz where some are willing to give them time and games to develop and others aren't seeing their potential and therefore not so keen. What do people want us to be as a club? Would you sacrifice points for not only dev...

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Crap I do genuinely get why some might have that opinion, he often makes the wrong decision, or he's careless when making the right one and doesn't make the pass or it's not quite right for the receiver to take and move in one go. There were also 2-3 times last night he got dispossessed in tight ar...

Re: Thierno Barry
Scored last game but disallowed.
Hit the post from a corner this game, did really well with a chance that the keeper saved and did poorly with another effort.
It's coming... Just got to accept he's raw and it's going to take time to develop.

Re: Bournemouth v Everton
"If anyone says they're not looking at the table then they're lying." After 14 games last season (can't find after 13) we had 14 points, so a ppg of 1 After 13 games this season we have 21 point, so a ppg of 1.6. That's the part I'm most interested in... Win against Forest and we'll...

Tim too actually did well considering he was playing on the yellow for a long time. Glad he had a little redemption after the last game.

Re: Thierno Barry
Decent again today, thought he did well on his big chance with a good touch and then trying to lift it over the keeper.
Still does some weird raw things but can't really fault his performances of late, just needs to add a few goals and he'll be a real asset.

Really solid and gave us more pace than when Keane is back there. Not tested a great deal so got to bare that in mind but definitely a good performance.

Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Thought he was great again today despite playing deeper. Works soooo hard and offers so decent passing and link up with Grealish.
Boo boys starting to look way off imo.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Made a lot of wrong decisions in the ball today but pressed like fuck and worked his socks off, then got the assist for Grealish's goal.
Just needs to play because he should be a managers dream for his off the ball work, and the only way to iron out the on the ball stuff is through playing.

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Thought he grew as he game went on, pretty decent second half and broke up play multiple times.
Looks scared on the ball but used it sensibly and didn't cost us. Did get a yellow though so won't be able to build on it unfortunately.

I'll take that, not much in it but we probably shaded it.
Exactly the performance we needed after Saturday though, gritty and solid.

Unfortunately we can't as Tim is suspended for the next match so it'll be JOB back to RB if Keane's fitLazarou II wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 9:24 pm Great stuff.
Please leave the defence like that until Branthwaite gets back.

Re: Bournemouth v Everton
Think it's been fairly ok, tough with the players we have missing, and Tim whilst better than last game is still pretty dodgy, and Alcaraz has been his usual erratic self but without the good parts. Feels a bit like it's only been ok because Bournemouth have been really poor. I'm fully expecting the...
