Re: General Transfer Thread
I think he probably meant something along the lines of what Chelsea got caught doing where the fee was paid to the club and then some extra payments were made off the books to make the deal more beneficial and more true to market value... Or at least I think that's what Chelsea got caught doing.

Re: Aston Villa v Everton (The CannockPricey Derby)
It's a good question and maybe I forgot Keane was suspended, or maybe I just think Moyes is that stubborn he'd play him there anyway

Re: Scouting/recruitment
The problem is your arguing as if we agree on their potential. My frustration is most of them arent getting minutes which is no good for their development and for me the 1 that is playing will never be good enough Rohl has been injured, Dibling has had minutes... I dunno, just feels like you're goi...

Re: Aston Villa v Everton (The CannockPricey Derby)
Low block, try keep it tight, hope for a set piece goal. McNeil to start, JOB at RB, no creativity in the middle of the park, hit Jack at every opportunity and watch him be surrounded by opponents whilst any potentially promising move breaks down. Lose to a poor goal conceded just as we look like we...

Re: Positive outlook for remainder of season
We'll be up and down all season regardless of who is available, I still fully expect us to win a few, lose a few, frustrations to grow during bad times and over inflated expectations when we go on a small run. 50-60 points should be the aim, and I expect that's where we'll end up. But it won't be sm...

Re: Scouting/recruitment
No i think its not througher enough. Weve had so many who've come in and from day 1 haven't been what we needed and/or not been good enough. Bakoyoko Conceicao Fofana That's just 3 of the players that rejected us in the summer... It's not that our recruitment team and those previously hadn't scoute...

Re: Scouting/recruitment
I actually suspect we arent really scouting players. Think we probably signed barry primarily because he scored 13 goals in Spain. Probably signed dibbling primarily because there were nice stories that he was the next big thing and worth 100m. I dont think we are much deeper than that. Think we ar...

27 in 49 whilst playing in Turkey so better than 1 in 2 not 1 in 4StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 10:27 pm Why do people assume he’ll be a better option than Beto?
I’d have my money on Beto scoring [emoji637][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]+ goals a year for a dominant Turkish team

Re: January Transfer Window
20 goals in 34 league appearances last season + 6 in 12 Europa league ties. 7 in the 15 league this season, but 0 in 6 in the Europa league. Decent numbers but impossible to judge anything really given the league he's playing in. Mind you he got 16 in 33 in La Liga 23/24 so maybe actually a good bag...

Re: Scouting/recruitment
Was Rohl needed when we had Armstrong Was dibling needed when we had Alcaraz and Ndiaye on the right Wasted opportunity imo Was Rohl needed? Dunno, who would have played in CM instead of him against Sunderland if we hadn't signed him? Was Dibling needed? No probably not, at least not on what he's s...

Re: Scouting/recruitment
Let’s imagine all 3 fail 55 million on transfer 125k a week on wages That money could have been better spent on 1 quality striker abd we we woukd be top 6 comfortably Yeah that's a possibility, but we also couldn't spend £55m on a striker and not bother buying players to fill all the squad holes le...
