Re: VAR and is there a way to fix it?
Not surprising tbh, clubs will believe VAR is better than not having it if it can develop and improve. The genie is out of the bottle and you can't put it back in now. The idea of VAR itself is fine, it's just the implementation has been terrible, so they'll be pushing for improvements rather than r...

Re: England National Team
Yeah I was going on the idea that he would be fit... Can't be taking him if he's not, but if he's even 75% he needs to go as we don't have any options there other than Trippier out of position.

Re: England National Team
Yeah ,Maddison never got any minute's at the WC either, Think we can safely say Trafford Quensah Jones Maddison ?? Depends on if he risks Shaw, Maguire then Jarrad probably misses out. Eze, Bowen Wharton 2 from 3 I'd get rid of Mainoo, Shaw, Toney. You can't get rid of Shaw, he's literally the only...

Re: Ben Godfrey
I’ve seen my fair share of awful defenders in my time watching Everton. That guy doesn’t even come close. There’s some good things to work with there. It’s grossly exaggerated how bad he is. The two last ditch clearances at the back post (Liverpool and forget who the other was against) were somethi...

Re: Ben Godfrey
He's a terrible full back, he's so bad on the ball and offers absolutely no attacking threat... Also means the winger gets doubled up on and becomes completely ineffective too. We could sign a better CB too as backup and wouldn't have him above Keane anyway as third choice CB. Sell, 100% if people a...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
No idea what his current health status is, but I know he missed a massive chunk of the season to some mystery illness, or might have been long COVID... Can't remember the details, just that he was out for a long time with health issues.

Re: England National Team
Didn't watch as the line up was absolutely horrific. I'd love to know what a manager learns from fielding an entire team of players who probably won't start the first game of the Euros. Surely playing 7 first choice with a few hopefuls to see see how they perform in a strong team makes more sense th...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Agree with most of this apart from the moving to help his England career. If he’s playing regularly for us and continues the high standards he’s started at (and he’ll improve), he’ll get picked. I mean even Michael Keane got picked for England while playing for us! I think he will get picked for En...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
100% no chance. Jarrad will hopefully stay another year and then move to someone like City or Real. I do think he needs one more year with us anyway. His only slight weakness is one on one with the elite players in the league. If he can get better at that side of the game and keep a few more of the...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Like I say, easily the worst of the big clubs to join. If they're the only serious bidder, back yourself to have another really good season and wait for a City/Arsenal/Madrid type club to come in for you, and stay away from the circus at Old Trafford. I'd probably say Chelsea is a worse option tbh,...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Nah, not for me, chief. There's still a chance they're keeping ETH, which is absolutely wild. Wait for another club that's going to be stable and develop you properly. You look at how Rashford has gone backwards, how they've completely mismanaged Sancho and others, and I think if you and your agent...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Why would anyone with serious potential go to Man U? Reckon that's why he's not pushing for a move this summer. I think with the right managerial appointment they've got a good crack at 4th next season, so it'd still be a massive step up from us. Also he'd likely be given a chance with England just...
