Re: How on earth did we survive from Benitez onwards?

That period was the least interested in Everton that I've ever been. So much so that the appointment of Benitez failed to even bother me. The strange thing about it was that the appointment seemed to be rumoured for weeks, giving Moshiri plenty of time to guage the mood of the fans, yet he still wen...

Maybe because of the predictably at the top or all the years we've been down there but I find the relegation battle a lot more interesting than the parade at the top.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round

Interesting watching Spurs stumble through managers. Mainly because, by and large, they've employed managers we would have if we had a little more pull.

Can't accuse him of not having a plan B anymore.

Re: The race for... Europe?

I still think we have to conquer our long standing fear of expectation. Things are ok now while it's still a bit of a distant possibility, but add in a few must win home games against smaller clubs and the old Everton may emerge.

Re: January Transfer Window

It's not a moral stance from Chelsea. They have a price that no-one is willing to pay.

Just seems like a cheap body as cover.
It's hard to argue that Dibling has been harshly treated.

Re: January Transfer Window

I do feel for Dwight a little, given it's clear he's not needed at Everton. There are still transfer windows open in some of the other European leagues - you never know... https://europeanleagues.com/transfer-windows/ Outside the madness of the EPL we're not going to find anyone willing to give us ...

Re: Things You Miss From Old Football

A summer spending spree consisting of a midfielder from the likes of West Ham and the top scorer from division 2 getting everyone excited. 1 to 11. Goalies in green. Thinking Celtic and Rangers were good. Losing 8 games but still winning the league. Comb overs. Sheepskin coats. Sportsnight. Football...

Re: January Transfer Window

I'd be very surprised if we were in a position to afford to send out a 35mill + player out on loan.

A front line of Barry, Dibling and George looks big and mobile. If it ever gets a chance.

Yes a lot of strikers in that position are keeping their heads down and blasting it into the,'keeper's body.
Very encouraging that despite the slow start in terms of goals he is still confident enough to rely on his finishing skills.
