Re: David Moyes - Confirmed
Twice, don't exaggerate. Although it does fascinate me when a poster tries to hide behind a new username, most of the sensible ones stick the name we all know. It's no biggy though. I wasn't on here for a bit, largely because I didn't enjoy it, and felt there was a bit of friction between me and ot...

Re: David Moyes - Confirmed
I see the usual reactionary posters getting a downer on things without actually looking at what's happened over the last few days and weeks. This isn't the scenario the owners wanted, they wanted to give Dyche until the end of the the season, get us safe and move to BMD in the PL, it became clear a...

Re: David Moyes - Confirmed
Why is speed so good, it's the most important role in the club, arguably. Id rather have waited a week or two, got the right person, rather than the easy lazy option, then be stuck with that for 2.5 years

Re: David Moyes - Agreed according to Bobble
Think it’s a bit premature to be condemning the board already particularly as we don’t even know whose on it yet ? Possible, but you can only react to what they have done so far, and imo it's less than impressive, but the positive is, they have set the bar so low now that the only way is up, hopefu...

Re: David Moyes - Agreed according to Bobble
Because you'd probably have to pay £10m compensation for Ireola and he might not even want to come. As I mentioned above he also took a 1/4 of a season (actually slightly more) to even win a game at Bournemouth, which if he struggled to implement his ideas here in the same way we'd be relegated. He...

Re: David Moyes - Agreed according to Bobble
So, who's the alternative? You could get a job on our board with that attitude. I'm pretty sure with a salary of 6m a year you could take your pick of most managers in the world. Would Iraloa of liked a rise from 1m to 6m, I bet he would, so the question is more, when you have the pick of every man...

Re: David Moyes - Agreed according to Bobble
Fucking hell, more than Arne Slot and Postecoglu, well and loads of others. Think that's about the 5th highest paid manager in the league if true. I know Dyche was comparable, but I'm not sure that makes it right. David Moyes has reached an agreement to become the next Everton manager, according to ...

Re: Thelwell talking strategy
Don't know, and I could be wrong about Moyes being resistant to working with DoFs, but there has always been that narrative, but it could've been a clash of personalities at West Ham?Bob Sacamano wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 9:27 pm Isn’t it pretty well known that the DoF or technical director fella at West Ham is a massive weapon?

Re: Thelwell talking strategy
Oh god, autonomy in the modern game rarely works. See Benitez. We've upgraded from a manager whose tactics were rooted in the 80s to one in the 90s, that's about as modern as it gets for now. But it will be interesting to see why this means on the DoF front and will be a good indicator as to how co...

Re: Thelwell talking strategy
What do we think this means for Thelwell after dithering Davey gets announced?
Historically he hasn't worked with a DoF and has kinda been resistant to it, I think that what why they got rid of him at West Ham as he refused to engage with the process, Thelwell out the door in the summer?

Re: David Moyes - Agreed according to Bobble
Oh well it looks like it's done, no Carlos getting sacked from Napoli will save us this time.
I hope he hits the ground running, and he'll have my full support, until we lose against Villa....

Re: David Moyes
You're a madhead, Waltzer. Who's getting appeased by a token appointment that nobody wants? It's exactly the kind of thing you'd be moaning about if it happened. None of it makes sense, why not just add to it. Were getting a manager nobody really wants, we might as well get an assistant we don't too.
