Re: Scouting/recruitment
We, as a club have a habit of writing players off very quickly and looking at ways to get rid of them instead of giving them the time needed. “PSR Tim” went from looking like he couldn’t play football to being our best performing CM in the space of about two months. I was one of the ones writing hi...

Re: Youssef En-Nesyri
Why do people assume he’ll be a better option than Beto?
I’d have my money on Beto scoring [emoji637][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]+ goals a year for a dominant Turkish team

Re: Youssef En-Nesyri
It’s probably a reflection of how we play more than anything. A lot of their underlying stats end up looking similar because they’re both getting lots of aimless long balls whacked at them, we’re not creating good chances for them, etc. Which makes it even more concerning that this lads statistical...

Re: Youssef En-Nesyri
I'll post the same thing I put in the transfer thread - our scouts are a joke:

Our scouting team is an absolute joke - you couldn't make this up. Top 5 "similar players" according to FBREF:

Re: January Transfer Window
Yeah this one really doesn't excite me - I know transfer fees are inflated but £20m for a 1 in 4 28 year old striker who has never played in a physical league before seems like iffy business. He's one of those where you watch the "highlight" video and majority of his goals are mishits or p...

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Alonso's left Real 'by mutual consent' after just [emoji638][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]] games. Can’t say I’m surprised, not sure what they were thinking with that announcement. Have Real ever had a successful “system manager” like him? Felt like he was always going to st...

Re: Adam Aznou
He is definitely too lightweight at the moment for left back in the prem. Bring him on if we're chasing a goal but starting with him would be a mistake. Not just lightweight, he’s a bit all over the place positionally and chases the ball. He’d be exposed as LB in the prem and it would ruin his conf...

Re: David Moyes
I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt with McNeil - I reckon he was hoping for a screamer to put him in the shop window.
Moyes isn’t stupid, he knows McNeil isn’t good enough

Re: January Transfer Window
My head still says we need a RB but looking at this pass map I’m not sure if LB is a bigger priority. We’re giving Mykolenko way too much of the ball, if we’re going to be doing that then we need a Baines/Digne type [attachment=[emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]...

He wants game time and West Ham just signed two forwards who are presumably ahead of him in the pecking order so mutual termination777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 1:21 pm Whys he on a free? Did west ham only give him 6 months

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
United just need to accept that they're no longer good enough to dominate games and become a pure counter attacking side like they were a few years ago. Stop trying to be fancy with their weird appointments like Amorim They've got the makings of a good athletic side with Mbuemo, Cunha, Sesko, Diallo...
