Re: Scouting/recruitment
You need to realise how the scouts work before pointing fingers I reckon….they don’t just go willy nilly watch a game and think “I know I’ll recommend him he had a good game” The normal process is the club (nowadays director of football) speaks with the manager and coaches…they identify positions th...

Re: Michael Keane
I prefer the rugby tmo system to footballs var system…at least tmo is open and honest in that everyone can see what they’re reviewing and why with an “open Mike” so everyone including the fans can hear what’s being said between them and how they reach a decision…..football would never take that syst...

Re: Michael Keane
my point is though whether he meant it or not only he knows....the game is now being reffed by cameras...to answer braps question "isnt that the point of VAR" then id say no...as the explanation for VAR is to hopefully right a incorrect decision....in this case the ref didn't make a decisi...

Re: Ben White
When talking about potential players on here they seem to constantly be discussed in terms of finance rather than ability.....understandable under the kenwright regime and moshiri's..... nowadays i believe EFC are more financially stable and prudent on their acquisitions and this will only get bette...

Re: January Transfer Window
You said people were saying they weren't good enough or 2 expensive. So people want players that are good enough and reasonably priced Ben white is on 150k a week apparently that was the going rate as an arsenal first teamer. Its not the going rate for him now. If we take rejects from top teams you...

Re: January Transfer Window
So because we are crap we should buy crap or overpriced? Who said buy crap? By your logic expensive players are crap….so buy cheap players or loan players….coz they’re the best works for other teams to pay the going rate for the better players….how much has semenyo just gone for ? He must be crap o...

Re: January Transfer Window
I love the way any player we are rumoured to be after on here is…..crap…not what we need….on too much wages or costs too much….so get loan players who in the main….with the odd exception….are basically either can’t get in their own clubs first team or are not required by their club….. But same peopl...

Re: VAR and is there a way to fix it?
It’s used nowadays to ref the game by video replay…(see my comments in the Michael Keane thread) Forget the margin of error bollocks….forget the clear and obvious error bollocks…. Not be long before refs disappear and drones start to “ref” the games with live views sent back to a nice warm office 20...

Re: Michael Keane
Just watch it. If I go up for a header and someone rags my hair, we are fighting. I did watch it mate I was there at the time no one even saw it the ref was basically to the right of them and had a view of them jumping the ball went everyone played on he then waved his arm arm at the ref like what ...

Re: Michael Keane
You can see the lads head get yanked backwards when he goes to challenge for the ball. It's a shithouse challenge and probably the only header he won all day. Disgusted at him personally, he's a goon and I can't wait til he's out the club personally. Load of bollox he never even said a word until t...

Re: Our Club
Sadly this generation of fans in the main have only experienced bad times….i can remember the good times we’ve had over the years fa cup wins league title… and also the bad times of the mid 70’s….then the good times of early to mid eighties…and now the lean times of no trophies since 1995 !! Which b...

Re: Michael Keane
For me the benefit of the doubt should of gone with Keane…as the ball had gone…the player only complained once the ref stopped the game….Keane reaction of pure bewilderment when the ref stopped the game after the incident….keanes explanation (and others) of he also pulled his shirt in the course of ...
