Re: Today's Football 2025-26

How they have given the pen for the equaliser though, such a ridiculous ruling. The City player had kicked the ball and it was heading out of play (and might well have been out of play) before he was even made contact with. Rolled one thousand times in the gutter, for dramatic effect.... There was ...

Re: Things You Miss From Old Football

Common sense from referees. This letter of the law bullshit is ridiculous - especially when they choose to apply it so selectively.

Is it just me, or did the commentator let out a laugh when City scored then?

Re: Dwight McNeil

I've always loved deadline day - mainly in the hope of bringing someone in. But this would be up there with Fellaini in terms of great business!

Re: January Transfer Window

Daniel James is reliant on pace, can’t do anything else but he runs dead fast. See also Traore, Adama Hence "not even necessarily reliant". Which we are doing with Tyrique George - but you can't have a full squad of just tricky speedsters Think we're some way from having a squad full!

Re: January Transfer Window

He's a solid player with at least 3 years left at PL level as he's not reliant on pace. On a free in the summer it would be great squad depth and offer a challenge for first team places, whilst letting us sell McNeil. No point trying to tempt Fulham with an overpaid offer now though, he's not going...

Re: David Moyes

I just want him to stay forever. Obviously not if we start plummeting but, for me, he embodies 'Everton manager'. Moyesy being in charge takes me back to his first stint when I was still at school/uni. Dad and I would watch the games at Goodison, listen on the radio or even check Ceefax back in the ...

Re: January Transfer Window

Moyes already said that a few weeks ago that there probably wouldn't be much going on so it shouldn't really be a surprise. Do we desperately need anyone? We still need places but January is notoriously difficult to buy and unless someone came up at decent value that would improve us then I've no p...

Re: Adam Aznou

Let McNeil tire out the defenders with all their forays straight past him, then bring on Adam to go at them for 30 mins.

As January signings go, he's as good Aznou.

Re: The race for... Europe?

It has usually been around this time in recent seasons (if not earlier) that we've opened a relegation thread and discussing when we should pull the trigger to sack the manager. This is the clearest gauge of how far we've come in the last year under Moyes. Personally, I'm in the push-the-boat-out ca...

Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Was quite happy to get him in the summer but not overly inspired.

But he's becoming a crucial part of the team and really seems to love being here - really enjoy watching his celebrations with the fans.

Re: World Cup 2026

Having teams like Uzbekistan, Jordan, Curaçao, Cape Verde and Haiti etc. is great. Really hoping New Caledonia can get through too. Yeah, they'll likely be outclassed but it'll push football on light years in their respective countries and give them and other similar countries huge exposure and a be...
