Re: Rate the Toffee - #3 David Unsworth
I've just remembered that we had to write letters to our heroes at school, probably in 1992/93 and I wrote to Rhino.
Among other deep and meaningful questions I asked him what his favourite music was and he replied on Everton headed paper with "Eternal".
It was a huge scoop at the time.

Re: January Transfer Window
He's played for the Villa as well as the Shite so can't play for anyone else until next season, so it's a no from me. He's not what we need anyway.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 25, 2025 12:07 pm No Bowen for me would anyone take Elliot from the shite villa sending him back in January apparently

Re: Rate the Toffee - #3 David Unsworth
It was between a 6 and a 7 for me and I went 7 based on his first few years with us, the performances in the cup run and because he could take a pen. From memory he was a CB and a better CB who played LB in a Lescott style do a job. Think he even played midfield a few times. As a CB I remember him b...

Re: Rate the Toffee - #2 Mikel Arteta
It's a 9 from me. I loved him when he was with us.
Him on the right, Pienaar on the left. I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days, before you've actually left them.
He probably should have scored more goals for us, would be my main criticism.

Never has "found his level" been more appropriate for Demarai Gray. I liked him but he's too inconsistent.

Re: Rate the Toffee - #1 Ross Barkley
It's a 6 from me Shogs. I really liked Rosco, but he frustrated me so much as I liked him as he seemed capable of so much more. I think he's one of those who was great playing off instinct but got in his own head too often and ended up making poor choices. This is the goal that comes to mind when I ...

Re: General Transfer Thread
It's rare that I feel sorry for a Liverpool player but Harvey Elliot has been hard done by this season. Liverpool obviously wanted rid in the summer but the weird loan deal with Villa where if they play him 10 times they have to buy him for £35m has screwed him. Villa won't play him as they don't w...

Re: James Tarkowski
I quite like that our fans can be objective about situations our players are in.
Tarkowski has never fully ingratiated himself with some of our fans though, which is what has possibly skewed the reaction with this one.

there should be some better reference to the citys industrial history - not ugly great chimneys with no aesthetic charm or design in them look at the newest skyscraper in manhattan - the jp morgan building - bare iron girders support the whole structure its magnificent - its something out of the 19...
