Re: VAR and is there a way to fix it?

The only thing I'd be willing to accept VAR for is off-the-ball incidents. But even there it should only be about calling the ref to the screen to check out something they've missed.

The last sentence here has killed me off.

What in gods name has he said?
He called it an "absolute Holocaust", which let's face it, it was not. Some football matches were lost, that's all that happened.

I just can’t take it seriously as a violent act.

Everyone wants a cool manager these days, one who comes with his own "philosophy".

This is exactly why I said VAR-ing offside was a stupid idea. Increasing accuracy will only bring less fair results.

Re: January Transfer Window

The trouble with the "qualifying for Europe hinders domestic performance" theory is that the data doesn't quite support it. Yes, many teams fall back the year after reaching the Europa places but the key word there is "reaching". We crashed hard the year after we came 4th and you...

I'm generally quite lenient with players. I don't blame them if they're overpriced or shit, none of that is their fault after all. Some will fall to addiction, some will listen too much to their agents, and while they should take some blame for that, ultimately they're more of a victim in these situ...
