Yeah, lack of effort is the last thing I’d accuse him of.
It might’ve looked like a lack of effort post-injury, I think it was just a loss of athleticism. I don’t think it was a choice to no longer challenge for headers and 50-50 balls like he used to, he physically couldn’t.

We’re fucked if we must sign 8 players.

Re: Dwight McNeil
Moyes has no apparent interest in traditional wingers.

Re: Jake O'Brien
Think he had a hernia issue so that may have been slowing him. We need to get him out on loan in January or sold in the summer, he's clearly not in Moyes plans and when he'd rather take JOB off and put Garner right back than bring him on that says it all. Would be willing to give him another chance...

Re: January Transfer Window
Exactly. We’re doing fine, no danger at all of going down, possibility of europe. In a perfect position to bed in some young players, let them fail, let them learn, let them develop. We have also signed KDH and Grealish who have made a huge impact but it’s all dead money. If we sign Grealish you’re...

Re: Jake O'Brien
You can’t safely take Garner out of the midfield with Gana away, though. It’s less than ideal but he’s in there because he’s fairly pacy, solid positionally, and good in duels. It’s infuriating when he shanks a cross but I think it would be more infuriating if Patterson was getting outpaced by every...

Re: James Garner
He’s like if Phil Neville could kick a ball, which is a legitimately nice player to have around.

Re: James Garner
I thought he was really good at the base of the midfield three.
I’d like him to be a bit more expansive with his passing but still made up that he’s become a genuinely solid player at two positions (been quite good at RB when allowed this season too).
A bit worried about that contract situation.

Re: David Moyes
I hate how he uses his bench.
For all the things I like and respect about him, he remains one of the worst in the biz on this front.
If we have problems that “try harder” won’t solve, they aren’t getting solved mid-match.

Re: Adam Aznou
Kind of frustrating that he doesn’t even get a look for 10-20 minutes when we just need to get the ball in the box. Myko’s the starting choice because you know he’ll do a job defensively but there’s a turning point where steady defense earns us nothing and having someone who’s going to make runs for...

Re: January Transfer Window
Looking at the dogshit options other teams in our financial weight class are looking at makes me feel just fine about the Barry business. Not having Larsen at all (especially for some of the stupid prices quoted) and I also saw West Ham linked to Haji Wright, who is largely terrible despite some dec...

Re: Who is winning the league? (Cowards stay away)
Someone has to at least mention Villa at this point. Less likely than Arsenal or City for sure and largely scraping one goal wins but at a certain point, they might just be buoyed by Arsenal being out of sorts and City being a bit soft behind an incredible attack. There’s absolutely no pressure on t...

Re: Dwight McNeil
Eh. There are similarities (lack of athleticism, decent looking production on a diet of long range shots and set pieces) but I think McNeil’s movement and team play are considerably better. He just doesn’t have a right foot and takes himself out of matches that way. Hard to do anything in certain i...
