Re: Jack Grealish

I just don’t see this move in isolation causing any major problems. If we start regularly shelling out for pretty good players with similar age profiles to Grealish, then we’re heading down the same horrible path as under Moshiri. If we do this sort of thing sparingly and for needle-movers like Jack...

Re: Jack Grealish

Whats reasonable? I think the problem is both the fee and the length of the contract. 20m doesn't seem awful but the flip side of that is do we really want to be committing to more than 2 years given his age and massive wages. We dont want to get stuck with a reserve earning mega money in 3 or 4 ye...

Re: Jack Grealish

I should also add - I think we’ll get a reasonable price because he’s bought in.

If he wants this move, City aren’t really holding any cards except reintegrating him into the squad.

Re: Jack Grealish

His game’s not dependent on pace which is the number one thing that tends to erode with age. The only against argument I’m properly sympathetic to is potential injuries as he ages. He’s been kicked a lot and will continue to get kicked a lot. Really hard to say if this season’s injury is a freak thi...

Re: The fall of Spurs

They’d be crazy to hire Dyche.

Their squad has already shown that they will not respond to a disciplinarian type.

Re: Jack Grealish

I attribute the injury to fullbacks fouling him for fun.

Felt like everyone was allowed to get a few kicks in before there was any action taken this season and his leg paid the price.

Re: Jack Grealish

Look how bought in he is. He’s coming back and I’m good with it. He’s an absolute joke of a player. The control under pressure, the way he finds space when it seems like there’s none. Best player I’ve seen wear the shirt (wasn’t around for the ‘80s or Kanchelskis). Ndiaye was doing well bagging from...

Re: Today's Football 2025-26

Light the Big Sam beacons. Would be peak comedy to pair this group of players and their overinflated perceptions of themselves with someone industrial like Big Sam or Dyche. Realistically, they are doing what Ram suggested and going for vibes while praying that talent carries them over the line.

Re: Today's Football 2025-26

Not sure spurs have many good eggs. Think its probably a little on the lines of what we had when we blew moshiris initial spend. Players who were promised more who arent good enough but dont want to fight for a team down the wrong end of the table Think it will be an interesting summer if they go. ...

Re: Today's Football 2025-26

Arsenal vs Man City...? Arsenal favourites on current form? Man City just seem to have a mistake in them. Maybe Arsenal bottle it though? It’s so hard to say. Can’t really rely on either of them for anything. I’m astonished at how poor Pep’s feel for his squad has been the past two seasons. I never...

Re: Today's Football 2025-26

Redknapp is garbage tactically but at least he’ll figure out the best eleven players they have and send them out there to run around a bit. The only other defensible play is promoting their U21 manager and a couple of players to kick some of the bad eggs out of the first team squad but I checked his...

Re: Today's Football 2025-26

When you’re getting undone by obvious, straight balls into the box, you’re cooked. Forest will not score easier goals this season.

Time for one last roll of the dice with someone besides Tudor. They literally have nothing to lose, he hasn’t done a thing since they got him in.

West Ham have shown some signs of life.

Spurs look dead on their feet. That goal was too easy for a six pointer like this.

No spirit, no organization. We should be seeing a pulse right now but there’s nothing.
