Re: Michael Keane

Always said he was the best finisher at the club.

That counts, right?

Re: Thierno Barry

Still doesn’t look like he’s fully with it to me. Think this is the case here. One of the Everton pods had some Southampton guy on to give an overview of dibling when we signed him and he said he started last season on fire, got injured and never got going again. Don't know if that's a bad omen or ...

What is his involvement on this one?

Re: Michael Keane

I think given his current form, and that he's good in the air and the best finisher at the club, there's a strong case to say he should be playing up top instead of Beto and Barry

Re: James Garner

Garner to RB, KDH to CM

Alcaraz starts at 10.

Maybe the midfield will be a bit lightweight, but the balance should be better

Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong

Let him develop out on loan FFS

It's much better for him to get consistent 90mins than playing a half here or there for us.

There's no way Moyes is playing him ahead of Gana and Garner

A whole season in the championship did Grealish the world of good

Re: Thierno Barry

Being a bagsman is not the main role of the striker in Moyes' system though is it.

It's too create the platform to launch attacks. Not that I think Gabriel Jesus is the guy for that

Re: Thierno Barry

Unfair to judge him based on last night given the abysmal team selection.

He needs opportunities to see if he can offer more than Beto alongside the first 11. Not a half baked attempt at giving fringe players a single game against PL opposition

I'm not saying we should sack him lol.

But following that great start it looks like we've reverted to Moyes mk1

Re: David Moyes

Can see Moyes part 2 petering out with a whimper based on the last 2 results.

Still making the same mistakes as 10-15 years ago

Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

I don't think we're going to be seeing him in a midfield 3 this season, we don't have the wing backs to give us width that would then allow Ndiaye and Grealish to play narrower. So those 2 are going to be doing more touchline hugging than is optimal

Re: David Moyes

If we won the league with 80 points playing decent but not amazing football and we had another season where we scored 90 points consistently played beautiful football but finished second, which one would be the better season?

Yeah Cleary is decent enough.

And I've never trusted Ram's opinions since he said we'd be absolutely fine under Benitez
