Re: Amadou Onana
Saw a stat the other day saying we'd lost only 2 or 3 of the games he didn't feature. Not to beat him up, but for balance, of the 13 league games we won, he played less than 50% of the total minutes (not his fault if he's left out or injured of course) and contributed one goal and no assists. I tho...

Re: Kalvin Philips On Loan
I'm just keen to hear commentators tongue-tied and hyphen-ventilating, as Kalvin-Phillips' well-weighted and nicely-timed cross-field ball is cushioned one-touch by a double-teamed Calvert-Lewin, into the path of cool-headed Smith-Rowe's well-timed run, as he side-foots it home. 3-0.

Are we going to do one of those Euro cup sweeps things that we used to do? If so, I'm in!

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
I think as football has professionalised and corporatised, with the rise of data and analytics, clubs just want whatever the most recent thing that has worked, much like the film industry with comic book films and franchises. So you get fewer and fewer different models and ways of playing, just as ...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24
Central Coast Mariners have just equalised in the 91st minute against Melbourne Victory in the battle for the Dunny Lid. Roof has lifted, or would have if they could afford one.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Further 2 points deducted.
There is another option - say get fucked to ffp, take the points deduction and keep the players that, last season, had us some 24 points above relegation? Better than selling the family silver for a song and going down because of it, surely? Agree with the premise, we really are near rock bottom in...

Looking at it out of isolated years shows a different picture. https://i.imgflip.com/8qv5hq.jpg This season the bottom 3 have been awful, massively underperforming against the average points for those positions over the last 23 years[Thats as far back as my datasource<https://www.footballwebpages.c...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24
I think it's a great league on the whole. Massive teams like Man U and Chelsea struggling all season, despite the money they've spent, clubs like Villa and Spurs jockeying for places high up, a 3 way title race for most of the season, clubs like Palace, Bournemouth and Brighton all have lots of qua...

Re: VAR and is there a way to fix it?
It can be argued quite easily. For that statement to be true you’d need all the officials to be in cahoots with the people who run the league. They’d be so many decision across the season that will contradict what you’re saying. Why did liverpool have a perfectly good goal not allowed? Why did they...
