Books will be sent out on the day of release – September 26th – by first class post.
Throughout his childhood on Merseyside, advanced studies in Europe and the USA and career in the US oil & gas industry and lengthy retirement in some of the most beautiful locations in the world, David France has been besotted with Everton and travelled mind-boggling distances to watch our beloved club in action and introduce his trail-blazing initiatives.
In addition to writing a small library of sixteen books to tell the Everton story from novel directions, he formed Gwladys Street’s Hall of Fame to salute the men who made the club what it is and organised the most raucous celebrations in the football calendar, established the EFC Heritage Society to promote the club’s rich history, registered the Former-Players’ Foundation to alleviating the medical concerns of old footballers and, of course, assembled the finest collection of football memorabilia in the world before transferring it to public ownership.
The book will be available at the end of September. It’s a 250-page hardback, beautifully crafted and illustrated in full colour and produced as a limited edition. Priced at £18.78, all royalties are donated to Merseyside charities. People who claim to know about these things claim tell me that it’s funny, candid and inspirational and that it will sell out within weeks and spend a lifetime on eBay.
