Thank God it's the Mirror, would be a dreadful signing.

Yeah Simon Mullock's a proper old school Fleet Street hack. Probably made that rumour up while he was sat on the loo last night.

Bring me the Stuttgart striker, a Gareth Barry regen and a rapid right winger with excellent skill and delivery.

Is ffp still even really a thing now. We've seen some very odd deals between clubs who might be on the wrong side of it and Chelsea selling Hotels and even teams to themselves. Surely if we want to spend 150m instead of 100 that's easily manipulated

Oh and John stones would be as stupid a signing as there could be. Old, on mad money and never fit. He's not even out of contract so they'd probably be a fee too.

He's on way 200k a week maybe even more? He's probably worth about 50 because he's only available half the time. City's mistakes have to continue to be their problem not ours

Would rather Stones than Grealish but don't particularly see the point of going for either.

I'd rather grealish. Least he's fit. Least he's still got a few years left. Least it's a position we need. I think stones is done. He's not gonna be available at even twice the price he's worth

What does £19m include? 27,000 season ticket holders at an average of £600 each is £16.2m. That’s before approx 12,000 seats sold at an average of £40 a pop over 19 games = £9m. And that’s all before hospitality, cup games and other revenue. Sounds completely wrong to me.
It's data taken directly from the report and accounts from each club.

I can't find recent tweets on it, but here's some data from a couple of years back along the same theme

The only way I can see that being correct is if they take the stadium running costs out of what is generated at the stadium. It cost a few bob to keep the old lady going.

Edit: But it did say ‘revenue’ and not ‘profit’…

Everton still paying for past as Forest ready for Europe
While Everton's departure from Goodison Park was meant to herald a new dawn, they arrive at Hill Dickinson Stadium still to some extent paying for the huge contracts and big-money mistakes under former owner Farhad Moshiri.
"One marquee signing is certainly possible, especially with some players out of contract, but the chances of a series of big names is less likely," added Maguire.

I don’t think anyone expects, or wants a series of big names.

It's not an average of £600 though. You've got to consider how many of our ST holders have children or senior tickets. It sounds about right. As fans we don't spend anything at the ground close to what some fans do at other grounds. It's all drink elsewhere until the last possible second then head into the ground. We don't buy loads of merchandise. We had about 10 boxes, and not that many corporate suite places.
