Man U have signed loads of excellent players. That's never been an issue.

Why wouldn't they be? They pay big wages and they spend lots on transfer fees. They only have to start punching their weight and hardly anyone will be able to match them financially

I recon both are very good players and getting players who are the best from shitter clubs is a decent plan?

Dont buy the top stars cos ego etc
Just feels like there’s no plan to it.

Who played well in the premier league? Oh let’s buy them then.

Cunha is a good player, but he’s 26 and already failed at a big club at athletico. I don’t see how he fits in such a regimented system and has a questionable character.

Mbuemo is a good player as well but plays in a system built around him and wissa. Brentford are a well oiled machine with plug and play players.

United aren’t that at all, so he’ll need to show a lot more quality than he has for Brentford. I’ve seen a few stats lads on social media saying he has a lot of red flags about his game.

I don’t see him as an improvement on rashford, sancho or garnacho so £55m on a player who’s not really better than what you have is questionable. Obviously all those players mentioned have big issues around them and won’t be playing next season.

You’re not getting your money back on either of them as well.

Poor signings imo. Can see them both failing and United are in massive trouble if they don’t succeed.

Cunha's heat map is exactly the area Amorin wants his left sided the to be, his progressive ball carries are incredible statistically speaking, scores, works hard... He's literally a perfect player for this system and manager.

I haven't seen as much with Mbeumo so can't really comment on that one. Seems again another who plays in the space on that side and carries the ball really well.

Both will suit the system and the manager's requirements far far more than Garnacho, Radford and Sancho, they work in his system whereas the players you mentioned just don't, not at all.

It will all fall apart if they don't get a proper striker in though, they also need a keeper, a CM who can do an insane amount of work as Amorin seems to want to play Fernandes in a double pivot, and a RWB.

If they manage all that they'll have a great season compared to the one just gone.

I remember watching a YouTube video comparing Sean dyche to Diego simeone.

Doesn’t mean they’re right. He’s the type of character Man United should be avoiding.

Both feel like lazy signings to me.

AjaxAndy wrote: Thu Jun 05, 2025 12:09 pm Time will tell... I have serious reservations about him as a manager but it's clear he didn't have the players to play his way last season.

Give him a Gykores type striker to go with Mbeumo and Cunha and I think we'd see a very different Man UTD to last season when it comes to attacking threat.

jury still out on his managership credentials - true
not so sure on Cunha - very highly strung player who will def get suspended a few times nxt season but has great all round ability - he may be more greedy in his finishing - like garnacho - rather than assisting their CF
Mbeumo is prob their best signing as he matches amorims tactical intentions assisting and scoring regularly - lovely player to have in your squad
and for the CF - they have to get that bob on - as it was their main failure last season
if they get that right manu cld be a top 6 nxt season - hope they fail badly though and we finish above them again

He's a good analyst is Adam Cleary, was working for 4-4-2 magazine doing tactical analysis before moving to the Independent newspaper recently and creating this channel.

Not saying everything he says is 100% true but he knows his beans.

They'd be mad to get rid of him. Most promising youngster they have come through in absolute ages.

Do they not want him?

Crazy.

Will go somewhere better than us if he leaves.

I’m just glad they got Mbuemo as I thought he’d eventually end up at Liverpool for cheap in future
