I don't know but this would be my thinking. Banks have moved to online statements etc etc but I believe all still have to offer paper alternatives if requested.

From Gemini:
Season Ticket Holders:
Clubs like Brentford FC and Tottenham Hotspur offer exemptions for those with limited access to technology or other exceptional circumstances. You can typically contact them via a form or email to request an alternative.
The word exceptional sticks out to me there.
Very best case scenario is that there is an option to print out your ticket at home if you do not have a smartphone. But that feels open to abuse so i can't see it.
Rocking up with a blue badge or similar is likely to be the only way to get a physical ticket is my worry. (not simply because smart phones are a curse and you dont want them and/or cant really see them)

We are one of the cheapest overall.Jamokachi wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 3:14 am How does it compare to other clubs and our previous membership tiers?

Ryanair are doing that for flights from November - no smartphone app no flight
Good luck them getting my in-laws to use a smart phone
Re: Everton Membership
I think you're probably right that the club will put that out publicly but if pushed then I think they'd provide an alternative for a physical ticket knowing it wouldn't be worth the hassle legallysuperpull wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 10:10 am From Gemini:

Re: Everton Membership
It’s a Premier League requirement that all clubs issue digital tickets only from 26/27 season. It’s an anti touting initiative which will definitely be effective in stamping out ticket touting. There may be exceptions for disabled persons but not having a smart phone is not an excuse, and it is not illegal to provide digital only as per AI.
Re: Everton Membership
Yeah on the other hand, I suppose Ticketmaster do the same. Though I still feel like if someone really pushed it that laws could come into place forcing the option be made available.
With how invasive smartphones are and people recognising their ill effects then hopefully that happens in the future.
For a club/brand like us though, they'll probably allow a printable ticket if requested even if you have to double down before they yield.

Re: Everton Membership
It's bollocks about it being an anti-touting initiative.
The gobshites across the park have massive touting issues. Over there, the norm is for the touts to load the ticket onto a cheap burner phone and charge a deposit on the handset, which is returned when the handset is given back after the game. So there's always ways around it.

Re: Everton Membership
Here is a question, would we be happy to pay £100 for a membership, if it meant we'd get into Europe next year?

Re: Everton Membership
Just went to buy my membership and saw the landing page telling me about membership+ or whatever the fuck its called. Any time in technology a service gets split into tiers, its the start of the end user being royally buttfucked.
Clicked on buy membership to see prices and saw my fears realised.
You watch it rise year on year from now on. £100 membership tier will be a thing within 5 years.
Going to probably have to end up paying it, but need a think on it for a while. According to the cheat sheet of benefits, + members don't even get to see pre season matches live? And no mention of free tat like keyrings, like we normally used to get?
Pay more, get less. Progress.

Re: Everton Membership
Yeah, my understanding is that you only keep your place in the ST queue for the years you have an active membership. That was certainly the explanation for the updates last year prior to the BMD moveAudrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Jun 15, 2025 5:29 pm Im also having to think about if to get a membership![]()

It's like going to the vets. They know you'll pay... because what's your choice? It's a corporate style of blackmail

Re: Everton Membership
I already succumbed to the Prime Membership+ Platinum Deluxe tier. I have no resistance.
