Re: The Rebuild
It’s gonna depend on how the project is sold and getting in some serious name or names early.
Shiny new stadium to play in is nice, but not if you’re part of the team that got Everton relegated for the first time in eons.
Statement of intent signing early, and we look a different prospect. But then we need to sell the project to someone well for them to become the first.

Re: The Rebuild
I reckon we need a starting RB and a backup LB - it seemed that the plan was to get a free for RB in Tête but that’s missed.
What about a free for left back? Junior Firpo is out of contract, still only twenty eight and would be a good backup/more attacking option.
Ten assists and four goals from left back in the championship last year and heavily linked to Real Betis but nothing confirmed

Re: The Rebuild
He's an absolute liability defensively and positionally though. Leeds fans didn't have a high opinion of him.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Wed Jul 02, 2025 6:19 am I reckon we need a starting RB and a backup LB - it seemed that the plan was to get a free for RB in Tête but that’s missed.

Agree we need a more attacking option to compete with Myko but not sure Moyes would be happy with Firpo.

Everton's transfer approach sounds like a decent Saturday night.

Sounds like a Saturday night for me a short lifetime ago, albeit skipping a few …..ings along the way.

Re: The Rebuild
He'd be reasonable back up but at 29 I'd think he'll want to go somewhere as first choice. He's Scotland first choice but I don't see how he could remain that sitting on our bench.Sir Stealth wrote: ↑Wed Jul 02, 2025 7:53 pm Various sources linking us with Angus Gunn as a backup keeper - he any good?

Gianluca Di Marzio @DiMarzio
#TransferMarket | #Roma, joint operation with #Everton for #Wesley: the English club would acquire the player from #Flamengo and then loan him to the Giallorossi

Re: The Rebuild
Wouldn't mind as long as the same is done the other way too.
Might also give some credit to the Celik rumors being true.
