Re: Thierno Barry
I’ve decided to stop watching them as of now, every player has best bits, I’ve watched so many of these videos only to be disappointed when you watch them live.

Re: Thierno Barry
Yeah they’re good for getting an idea of the type of player but when you compare to the Stats you see that they’re not doing that every game. When we signed James I was giving a Spanish friend some shit that we’d stolen him for free and he sent me theBluebridge wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 1:17 pm I’ve decided to stop watching them as of now, every player has best bits, I’ve watched so many of these videos only to be disappointed when you watch them live.

Re: Thierno Barry
I’m not sure how you can confidently call it a mishit as he has his eyes on it all the way. It’s not a typical connection but you can’t say he didn’t mean it. He also comes short, holds off a defender or two, lays it off, then makes a run and scores on the volley. Suspend your disbelief and just appreciate it’s a fantastic goal.
I think he’s a real gem. Young and raw but could develop into a top player. He makes me think of Isak the way he plays.
Re: Thierno Barry
Yeah, think he meant that, lovely outside of the boot volley and kept his eye on it. Lot to like about that video comes deep, collects the ball, gives it, goes, gets on the end of a cute, creative pass with his blistering pace. Only issue is we don't have anyone to play cute, creative passes!Bornblue88 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 11:14 pm I’m not sure how you can confidently call it a mishit as he has his eyes on it all the way. Re: Thierno Barry
Fantastic thread on Barry to cheer us up, complete with loads of videos and enough charts to make even @brap2 smile a little
Re: Thierno Barry
Heard a few were happy with Barry, and talk of him starting over Beto...
Didn't see the Roma match, how did he go?

Re: Thierno Barry
Had a bright start getting played in by KDH , fluffed the chance , did Beto come on that's how much an impact he made.

Re: Thierno Barry
Possibly not quite as good in the air from long balls, but looked direct, tricky and made some really clever runs. Also it’s a small sample size but I’m gonna say his first touch is much better than Beto’s. Liked him a lot but needs more players to get in and around him - he was quite isolated at times.
Re: Thierno Barry
Thought his hold up play wasn't great and didn't press as much as I'd like to see (although it's a friendly so maybe pressing wasn't as quick for that reason?).
Missed a great chance and hit a good one from 20 yards where potentially had better options, although didn't mind it too much.
Did some good things too, but overall a bit of a mixed bag.
I'd start Beto personally against Leeds, think he earned the spot second half of last season and allows Barry to bed in slowly and also show he should be starting. Good to have a bit of competition to push both strikers on.
