Re: The Rebuild
Nope. Not happy with that. A ‘pad-out’ is the opposite of a rebuild.TheRam wrote: ↑Fri Jul 25, 2025 8:08 am “I’m sure we’ll pick up some loans late in the window to pad out the squad”
Hearing this quite a lot. Are people really happy with us doing that?
We can’t keep making a load of loan signings every window then having to replace those players the next window.
Three weeks until the start of the season, five weeks until the end of the window and we still need six players.
The full back situation and lack of depth in midfield should have been addressed by now. Signing cheaper players to play supporting roles in the squad are easy signings to make.
Yet we’re going on tour where we play three premier league teams with two full backs, one of them being patterson who has a lot of doubts over if he’s even good enough.
They’ve already failed imo. Left it too late and I’m now expecting to see at least three panic signings towards the end of the window.

Re: The Rebuild
A lot of flapping here for July - I’m happy even if we only get
permanent transfers in as long as they’re the right ones.
We can’t be spending on players with no resale value and need more deals like Barry, Ndiaye, Charly etc
I also fully expect us to have loans that are active members of the first team squad as we’ve got so many holes to fill.

th is fine though, I feel like some on here were expecting us to spend big and challenge for Europe this season

I don’t see it being that big a step these days with eight teams qualifying.
Two more permanent signings and a bunch of players on loan isn’t good enough.

Let’s be honest, Tosun and Niasse both scored 4 each in the same preseason game once, meaningless

Having a look at other forums to see any mad ITKs knocking about because I’am in the middle of a flap and you guys are being mean to me.
Someone reckons big money on Jarrod Bowen.

Re: The Rebuild
I like to comfort myself with the idea that, if the likes of Bowen and Soucek were genuine targets, Moyes would have moved on them immediately this window rather than risk them going elsewhere.
