You'd have to give a whole load of benefit of the doubt to their new signings and youngsters who did quite well in the championship

The 3 who got promoted will all struggle to get 30 points
Pointless arguing it at this point, people are so stressed about transfers that they seem to have completely forgotten that we’ve still got the same core that finished the season under Moyes and if you extrapolate that over the year we’d have ended on fifty nine points.

DCL being replaced by Barry is a good move
Young being replaced by Anzou is a good move

We still need more players since we’ve lost Mangala, Lindstrom, Harrison and Broja but none of those are good enough for us to actually want them.

The only big loss is Doucouré and we got his replacement in Alcaraz last January.

I’m talking more the midfield three in the middle than the attacking players.

Their centre mid options are a lot better than ours.

At the moment I’d say we easily have one of the worst collection of centre mids in the league. Possibly the worst which is why we need at least two more in.

Don't even know about that. Gueye was our player of the year and I'm quite excited about alcaraz. As ever our problem is that we have absolutely no depth. Confident them 2 are at least as good as anything sunderland have got

Alcaraz isn't a cm and Moyes isn't having him. Loses the ball trying mad stuff. Crap.

We’ve never seen Alcaraz play centre midfield for us so I don’t know why people are suddenly using him as an option.

Our centre mids are Gana, garner, Tim and Armstrong.

I don’t even think it’s up for debate that that’s one of the worst in the league.

Our midfield four is currently Gana, garner, Armstrong and Tim.

Armstrong didn’t start a game. Tim started the season and was quickly shown to be out of his depth.

So, no, we don’t have the same core. It’s significantly weaker in that area.

You do get the feeling that a deal for Grealish is on the cards.

As long as Grealish has a point to prove in terms of getting into the squad for the World Cup, then it has to now be a no brainer for us, even if the salary is higher than we might want to pay.

Moyes has admitted time is running out to get players in... feels like he's been misled. He says we have money but struggling to get the right players in. This will go to the wire I think, so slow start then we pick up when they're bedded in.. that's the hope like
