Tickets (News and Issues)
Re: Tickets
I think I'm going to aim for the West Ham game on 29 September, as it is a Monday night and I should be able to get away with not taking any leave from work as I can just work on the train (from and to Exeter). I'm also hoping that tickets will be easier to come by as it is a Monday night kick off.
Does anyone have any tips on cheap places to stay, preferably not too far from Lime Street as I'll get a train home at 6:08 in the morning? I don't really care if it's a bit shit as it will literally be a place to crash for 6 hours before getting up early for my train.

Bucket loads around there. Holiday inn, Delta and premier inn within a hundred yards.Robioto wrote: ↑Tue Aug 05, 2025 12:08 pm I think I'm going to aim for the West Ham game on 29 September, as it is a Monday night and I should be able to get away with not taking any leave from work as I can just work on the train (from and to Exeter). Avoid the Adelphi obviously haha
Re: Tickets
We usually stay at the Liner Hotel, it's nothing fancy but right next to Lime Street (sometimes too close to Lime St depending what side your room is)on Lord Street, handy for the city centre as well.Robioto wrote: ↑Tue Aug 05, 2025 12:08 pm I think I'm going to aim for the West Ham game on 29 September, as it is a Monday night and I should be able to get away with not taking any leave from work as I can just work on the train (from and to Exeter). Re: Tickets
Aye, I think like most places they'll crank the price up on matchdays/nights but overall it's fine, very much a Premier Inn, Travelodge level of hotel with a bit of a ship's theme to it. We've only eaten there once, there's plenty places right on the doorstep and there's a bar as well if you fancy a drink.
Re: Tickets
Prices on 29th September are absolutely fucking bonkers ! There are NO cheap hotels, a shitty bedroom in a council house in Anfield on booking.com for £125, The Liner Hotel. £452 for the night. I managed a few weeks ago to get a decent guest house in Bootle for £135 including breakfast. Good luck a!

Re: Tickets
Cast your search to the Wirral, trains run every 7-15 minutes into lime street or get a taxi through the tunnel. I’m sure they’ll be no match tax on any hotels there.
Re: Tickets
It’s not a match tax, it’s the Labour Party Conference, Starmer ffs !Bluebridge wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 4:27 am Cast your search to the Wirral, trains run every 7-15 minutes into lime street or get a taxi through the tunnel. I’m sure they’ll be no match tax on any hotels there.

Re: Tickets
Oh there is every weekend, it’s either us or the other lot playing, then you have the hens, stags and massive interest from daan south in the Liverpool night scene.Bluebridge wrote: ↑Wed Aug 06, 2025 8:13 am Ah didn’t know that, although I bet there will be an increase on match days.
Re: Tickets
If my friend wants to give me his tickets for Saturday (he can't go) he said he just needs to email me the tickets and I download them to my wallet on my phone.
Would that work?
Just I heard somewhere that you have to send them back to the club or something like that and re download them. This is done to avoid ticket touting.
Or am I talking waffle?
Clarification would be great, cheers.

If you’re a member he should be able to just email it to you, or transfer it on the site using your membership number.Cozzie wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 3:53 pm If my friend wants to give me his tickets for Saturday (he can't go) he said he just needs to email me the tickets and I download them to my wallet on my phone.

This is what it was like last season but it might have changed.
Re: Tickets
Sorry, he can’t actually email the ticket to you but can use your email address to transfer it if you are a member.
