Not glad he’s injured, obviously, but glad he wasn’t just left out.

He could’ve been a genuine wide option to throw on later in the game to provide something different to the narrow, passive shite that we were serving up.

I’m also glad Aznou wasn’t just left out of the squad but only left back or not I don’t think he’s ready to be dropped into starting games such as last night, not based on his performance against Roma. Don’t want to see a young player’s confidence destroyed before he’s even started - bring him on as a sub by all means but don’t think he should be starting games yet.

He’s got form for falling out with people above him and it feels like it’s happened already.

He’s right to be disappointed with how it’s gone so far but he loses any sympathy when he’s not going to use the players that have been bought.

Aznou as our only left back should have been part of the squad. Barry should have come on a lot sooner.

But I think there is plenty of blame that lands on his shoulders not just the recruitment team.

It's clear was part of the decision to switch from the DoF model the new structure when we were due a massive squad overhaul. It probably would have been sensible to stick with the existing recruitment team to ensure that in such a busy window we could have ensured a lot of the work was done last season in stead of starting off right at the beginning of the window.

He must have had a big say in recruiting Smith from Man City given he's worked with him before and he would have known he wouldn't have needed to have gone on gardening leave before starting.

He's had a lot of input into transfers being one of the committee, he's obviously part of the discussions for identifying targets and figuring out who is possible to get given our current constraints.

We're going after RW's who clearly don't want to come or we don't match their clubs valuations, him and the committee need to be more realistic in who they can attract and afford. The players are out there, you just need to do due dilligence with your data and scouting if you're casting your net to non-prem experienced players

He also probably has the most say in identifying which positions are priority, so not prioritising a RB, LB or DM is looking pretty poor decision now. We know Garner goes AWOL for 9/10 games.

If he wanted prom experience they could have offered Young the money that he wanted, they could have kept Doucoure. He was part of the committee that made these decisions.

It's nothing new from Moyes, we've seen this umpteen times in the past, poor pre season, poor transfer window, poor start to the season under him. Granted a lot of the time we were skint but this whole temperament from him during the summer is nothing new. It's a collective issue and he needs to take some of the responsibility for where we are at the moment. Maybe we've just taken on too much to try and get it all done on one window.
