Tickets (News and Issues)
Re: Tickets
Still decent availability for Mansfield.
Most seats now in the last dozen rows of the upper stands.
Looks like it will make it to general sale tomorrow

Re: Tickets
If you take those figures as right then yes the average should be about 7, however with approx 34k on the waiting list for STs I genuinely don't know how many members we have.liamgt wrote: ↑Fri Aug 22, 2025 10:33 am You'd have to be incredibly unlucky not to get at least 7 tickets across a season in the ballot assuming 25000 in ballot and 10k tickets and assuming its a fair ballot. 40% chance per game.
Whereas last season I was online at 10am on a Tuesday for most games and got precisely zero tickets despite paying for the membership, so can see why the club have done this.
The problem with averages is you have to have outliers both sides of that. I think the problem with this system (which as I have said does sort of suit me better as someone who can't make a 10am Tuesday scramble unless I am on holiday) is that two people can part with £60 in July, apply at exactly the same time for every game and one can attend vastly more games than another.
There are pretty simple tweaks that could be made to make this fairer.
Obviously not every member will apply for every game. There are always things that crop up in a season that makes some dates impossible. I very much doubt I will apply 19 times. I am currently 0 from 2 which is fine but if I knew 15/16 applications would get me 5/6 games I'd be happy with that.
The trouble with the system at the moment is unsuccessful ticket applications count for nothing for anyone.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.
Re: Tickets
Just flipped a coin, 50/50 right?, 19 times.
13 times heads
6 times tails
And that's the issue with unweighted ballots. If you have a 40% chance then you have a 40% chance every match. It's more likely you don't get a ticket than you do get a ticket. There's absolutely no guarantee you're successful 4 times out of 10.

Re: Tickets
If you are using a Fantasy NFL system you want "Rolling wiavers" not FAAB. After a successful ticket purchase you go back to the end of the queue and slowly work your way up again while people who didn't get a ticket last time have a first dibs.Goaljira wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 9:34 pm A way it could be done is like you get in some NFL fantasy leagues. At the start of the season youre allocated say 200 points in Forever Blue, and 500 points for Blue+. You can then use these points when applying for tickets, with the more you use the more chance you have. So if there's a game you definitely want to go to you could in theory use all 500 points on it and guarantee your ticket. If its a 'I'd like to go but not really arsed' then you just chuck 25 at it or something?

Re: Tickets
Has anyone done the season ticket competition? My lad's just checked his app to look for tickets. It's got his forever blue + AND a season ticket?? He's not received any emails, so he's panicking incase it's a blag... surely not on the official app. Thanks for any ideas

Re: Tickets
Sadly I think that’s in everyone’s account, it’s in mine. Season ticket with my name but now row or seat number
Re: Tickets
You are right there isn't a guarantee, but it should average itself out over the season plus i'd take those odds over the mad scramble at 10am on a random Tuesday and getting zero tickets like last season.Shogun wrote: ↑Fri Aug 22, 2025 12:28 pm Just flipped a coin, 50/50 right?, 19 times.

Re: Tickets
Brilliant idea, and would be the way to go once the club works out how to send emails out before taking peoples money.Grand Master C wrote: ↑Fri Aug 22, 2025 12:44 pm If you are using a Fantasy NFL system you want "Rolling wiavers" not FAAB. Thats also a good shout. Basically anything apart from what they've done would do.Grand Master C wrote: ↑Fri Aug 22, 2025 12:44 pm If you are using a Fantasy NFL system you want "Rolling wiavers" not FAAB. Re: Tickets
Disappointing to see and hear that there was a lot of empty seats for the first game. Whether it was the resale platform not working properly or the corporate seats not selling out I don't know but if they can't fill the first game it's going to become a struggle especially over the winter. Just a shame that so many people missed out on the ballot but were then priced out of seats or didn't know they were still available when they could have had a seat. The Premium Exclusive sold out but I think the Club View were still available and a lot of the more expensive hospitality seats were too. I guess they'll just need to tinker with the pricing until they can get a balance.
Re: Tickets
Is that 51,759 attendance based on turnstile movement or does it include ST holders regardless of whether they attend or not ? It looked worse than it was for about ten minutes after the half time break because of the shit show on the concourse with catering.Gash wrote: ↑Mon Aug 25, 2025 11:12 am Disappointing to see and hear that there was a lot of empty seats for the first game. Re: Tickets
I'd guess with all tickets being scanned these days that'll be through the turnstiles but if that was the official attendance then that's about 1000 below capacity.Escalator wrote: ↑Mon Aug 25, 2025 11:22 am Is that 51,759 attendance based on turnstile movement or does it include ST holders regardless of whether they attend or not ?
