I think we saw everything he's capable of last night, the good and the bad.

Great finish for the goal, he got stuck in and worked hard, good movement at times, tried to play football and do the things we want him to do.

He also ran into barry a few times, played a really poor pass during a good break second half (his intention was good though) and didn't always make the right choices.

I'm glad we're not going to be relying on him to play every week and that he'll have time to develop and improve without that pressure. It's nice being able to adjust to having players on the bench that can come on and offer something a bit different and actually add something to the game.

He generates a ton of shots.

Superb bench player who could become something a bit more with improved focus and discipline.

If he develops he could end up being similar to Morgan Gibbs-White who I think is a superb player - definitely going to continue to lose a lot of possession though as he actually tries things.

In terms of style he dovetails really well with KDH and is a good option to replace him when we're chasing a game or vs weaker opposition where we're trying to break a low block.

Very good signing for the price, some really clever business in hindsight

He’s on a 2 yr contract right?
So he’s either off in the summer or we extend.

Based on ability or something else?

I will say, he’s played for a surprising amount of clubs for a ImageImage year old - wonder if his agent is aggressively pursuing moves

Yeah I think he's got weird financial stuff going on. I reckon agents moving him around clubs they're connected to to get bonuses, while the teams get a talented youngster with good PR for a year or so.

I do think he's talented, I think he'll be a good squad player for us this year.

Looking forward to you finally warming to him as the season progresses Brap.

I think he is a great option to push the front 3, if they're coasting through a game, he will alway inject something when he comes on, good or bad he makes things happen. It's worth noting how Moyes started him away from home most of last season too, Doucoure got the nod at home. I'd like to see him get a fair crack at it in home games this season, away games, you're sitting deeper and chasing the game more.

Defo got dodgy agents and 3rd parties involved with him.

He’s here for a good time, not a long time.

The Blue Room interviewed someone from Solent Radio and he said Alcaraz played a lot as an 8 for Southampton. We've deployed him right and in the 10, so shows he's a really good versatile option to cover multiple positions.

Only issue I have with him is the length of contract as I want to see him here for a lot longer.

He reminds me a lot of Osman. He used to make a lot of the same errors and make poor passes. Hopefully he develops into the plsy Osman became in his later years.

Don't think Moyes would fancy that tbh, playing an empty head in the middle of the pitch not really his style

Harsh and IMO the wrong call to bring him off.

He was having a good game and one of the few back ups that can produce something.

Amazing Iroegbunam stayed on over him.

Yeah his decision making wasn't great as usual but he'd done ok getting on the ball in the right spaces.

Iroegbunam or McNeil should have come off imo
