Re: David Moyes
As frustrating as this transfer window has been, I tend to think (and shudder) of an parallel universe where Dyche's contract was renewed, having steered us to unlikely safety against the odds that he'd actually stacked against us.
Even with the investment, who would we have signed? It hardly bears thinking about.

Re: David Moyes
im not sure its been that frustrating has it, in retrospect?
We would have preferred to get all the deals done before the leeds game, but just look at today, its not realistic, everyone is waiting
My flap levels I dont think breached 7, and its annoying we havent got a RB in but given all the good work that has been done, it seems churlish to be frustrated

Re: David Moyes
I think it's been frustrating at times, but if we get Rohl in it has to be one of our best windows in years.
If we get a cheeky late loan for a defender or right back then even better.
It's the first time since Ancelotti that we can really look forward to the season. Hopefully the dark days of Allardyce, Benitez and to a lesser extent, Dyche, are over.

I said all along we needed to judge things at the end of the window, and looks like it's been a pretty damn good one overall.fxceltic wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 12:27 pm im not sure its been that frustrating has it, in retrospect?

6 points from the first 3 games too so it's not like we threw away loads of points by not getting players in earlier.
Re: David Moyes
64 point pace, most of that with last season’s squad.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 10:05 am 10 wins, 7 draws, 5 defeats so far.
Outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. No right to expect a record like that in the position we were in.
Also, a big thanks to West Ham for taking Potter off the market when we were looking for a new manager.
Like we just instantly snapped back to 2008 but with money to spend.
An absolute dream after what we’ve been through.
Re: David Moyes
And we have the new stadium we should’ve built sooner.
It’s like we’re getting a second chance without the constraints of Kenwright’s ownership.

Loving Moyes 2.0
Older, more experience, gives less of a fuck (in the best way possible and at the right time).
Remember the first time around when we were saying ‘What would he be like if he had money to spend?’

Re: David Moyes
I'd love it if we started singing the other davey moyes song again.
The one that went
"Oh davey moyes, davey davey davey moyes" repeat till fade.

I hope this optimism and love for Moyes holds past our next defeat when he doesn't make a sub until the 75th minute

Re: David Moyes
It's a good watch, terrible advert for Castore and Everton leisure wear though, especially on old man bods.
Every time I see Moyes wearing that Castore t-shirt I think of Meatloaf in Fight Club.

Re: David Moyes
A good read, also explains why all our signings were so late.

Feels a bit in the stars for a cup this year. Fuck me we deserve it. Loving the vibes at the moment.
