As was predicted the Palace game on the Saturday 4th October has changed to Sunday 5th at 2pm, thankfully it doesn't make much odds for my Dad's birthday.

Just spoke to the box office.

You can upgrade a child ticket to an adult ticket. But:
You can only do so to somebody with a paid membership in your friends & family.

So, as a one off - taking my dad to the one game he'd likely get to this year i'd have to create an email account for him, buy a membership for him and then pay the difference in price of the ticket.

I've been generally ok with the procedures put in place by the club and the attempts to crack down on touting. But this feels overly obstructive.

I'd twigged this was the case a while back, so actually got my Dad to sign up for a membership this year. But you're right, it really doesn't feel right that they have to do that to receive your ticket.

They didn't happen to mention the 'how' with upgrading to an adult did they? Just wondering if you can do it online as part of the process when you allocate the ticket e.g. you allocate your child ticket to an adult membership you can pay the money as part of that process? Or is that far too technologically complicated for the club?

A way around this would be getting someone with membership already, adding them to your friends and family, allocate the ticket to them and pay the upgrade, then get them to send you the ticket to use for your dad once they've received it. No additional.membership fee needed then?

Got pretty vague there. They said the box office can do it. So there's obviously a manual step still involved.

Excellent idea that @Goaljira

Has anyone who entered the ballot for West Ham heard anything or money taken out of account?

No wonder they're getting inundated with enquiries and people are having to spend ages on the phone waiting to speak to someone. I bought 4 tickets for the Villa game, mine eventually appeared on the app on Monday along with two of the other lads but one still doesn't have his, he's phoned and they've assured him that it will appear and they are sending them out in batches. Today his confirmation has appeared in the app but still not the ticket, just a note on the confirmation saying that the ticket will be emailed out shorty. You'd think in this day and age of digital tickets they could just send them all out at once but even if they do send them in batches we'd have all got ours at the same time.

For Villa the money was showing out my account first, then the ticket appeared in my app then the email confirmation came at 6pm on the Thursday so you can fully expect them to do it back to front this time too. :)

The really mad thing is - they had digital tickets and it all just worked fine 3 months ago.
They've moved to a more experienced partner and now acting like this is brand new technology and there's no way we should really be expecting any better.

I only hope that some commercial manager is furious and complaining like fuck. (although, we are so insignificant to ticketmaster, our guys are probably spending as much time holding on the phone to them as we are to Everton)

Yeah, I can't remember if it was on here or to a couple of mates but I was saying that recently, they can't blame the new stadium for this, it's fairly widely used technology and even the club have had it for a while at Goodison.

Just got a notification that £65 has come out of my account for Everton so looks like I got lucky again.

Barclays, the official notification partner for Everton FC’s ballot results.

Ill await my official club notification sometime tomorrow!
