Saying that its only last 25 years you have purpose built football stadiums and referencing Goodison as a throwback, is a bit ironic given it was the world's first purpose built football stadium.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
just thinking of the future at the BMD if we were going to increase the capacity to 60 000 where would they arrange the further seats?
in the north stand where at the top if the stand where it dips looks like further seats could be put in there or mix up the wheelchair access areas with more fans
just a thought

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Any increase in capacity will come mainly through the conversion of seating areas to rail seating and safe standing once legislation allows and if demand for increased capacity is sufficient.Evertonfc15 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 9:00 am just thinking of the future at the BMD if we were going to increase the capacity to 60 000 where would they arrange the further seats?

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Yeah, Meis confirmed this. Said specifically there is no future-proofing for raising attendance through anything other than safe-standing; where you can increase capacity in the standing area by a factor of between 1.2 to 1.8 depending on a lot of factors.
Again, I have a vague memory of seeing Meis say that this has been designed to increase capacity in the lower south by a factor of 1.5. so the South Stand lower has 5000 rail seating seats - we can add another 2,500 capacity there. (Small increase for the away fans as well as they have rail seating)

The United Utility site is the problem with any extension of the North stand as it would need to overhang the current footprint. However there was a question about if the club have now bought the strip of UU land we were effectively renting during the build, as it now appears to be permanently fenced and is being used for guest/site parking.

That UU site is such a terrible looking thing to have next door.
I noticed a few Brighton and Mansfield fans in that corner of the plaza. I'm assuming there's plans in place to actively separate the more "lively" away fans though?
Can't really imagine how though

Good question. The segregation of foot traffic down the North stand needs to be reviewed. At the moment it's some crash barriers and stewards, but Everton fans were being allowed down the outside to get to/from the Western terrace at the Mansfield game. Was surprised at how many of their fans were mixed in with Everton fans under the terrace to greet the teams too.

Not if everyone keeps moaning about the trains and trying to get out the stadium.Evertonfc15 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 06, 2025 8:24 am thanks for that - i think this will happen in the future at some stage
