At least for a Monday night match then there should be more tickets go up on the resale site compared to a weekend gameSir Stealth wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 2:03 pm Onto phase 2, logging on for 9:58am tomorrow ready to pounce on the resale aka The Shogun window
Tickets (News and Issues)
Re: Tickets (News and Issues)
Re: Tickets (News and Issues)
It makes sense that you find out from your bank first. The club can't confirm the ticket as yours until they've received the money, so if the payment fails they move onto the next schmo, if its successful the money goes from your account and in these modern times you get a notification instantly that someone's half-hinching some readies from your stash. There's realistically nothing to stop the club sending an e-mail on confirmation of payment, but they've made the decision to send them all out at once to all those successful.
Its clumsy, but whatever they did people would moan about.

Doubt they'd ever release it but I'd love to know the numbers of how many apply to each ballot and how many are successful.

Makes total sense, but there is absolutely nothing to stop the club from telling people they have been successful in a ballot the moment it has happened, pending successful payment in xxx hours or days.Goaljira wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 3:22 pm It makes sense that you find out from your bank first. Call me old fashioned but I like to hear from the venue of an event before the money is taken from me. Obviously I've committed to spending that money, and am happy to do so, but it just feels arse backwards atm.

@Shogun
Just out of interest did you apply for a ticket just for yourself in the ballot or was it with anyone else?
Me and my mate have a theory that they prioritise groups/families

Re: Tickets (News and Issues)
Yeah, I don't think it's too big an ask to confirm that a sum of money is coming out your account before they actually take it. Obviously you'll anticipate it but unexepected other costs can crop up in the mean time and you might leave yourself short or forget to move money in to your account if you're buying several tickets and it's £200 or £300 coming out.
That's not moaning by the way, just an observation.

Yeah just me mate. No idea whether they do prioritise but the club do nothing to give you faith in the process of it all.Sir Stealth wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 5:02 pm @Shogun

Re: Tickets (News and Issues)
Got the unsuccessful email before. 0 for 2 at the moment (I didn’t apply for Villa)
I guess at least now we know the system to an extent. I’ll know to try tomorrow 10am sharp for the resale
Potentially blows my theory out the water that you got a ticket!but I think they may still look to fill seats quicker by allocating all the tickets to families/groups
And then last resort fill the gaps by those who have applied solo

Re: Tickets (News and Issues)
Yeah, although they didn’t appear til about 10 past. Each time I went to add some to the basket it said they weren’t available and then it said sold out. Refreshed again after a few minutes of trying and selected choose best seats for me or whatever the filter is called. Managed to get a seat in the East stand, although I think it is right next to the away fans so could get pretty rowdy!
Re: Tickets (News and Issues)
I put 2 x tickets up for resale at 11.00 and they'd both sold at 11.02. Was just testing how it worked tbh and thought maybe I'd take them back off and see if anyone here wanted them but didn't get the chance as they went so quick.
Re: Tickets (News and Issues)
Good news! The stadium seat picker thing is crap from my experience, only ever managed to get them in time through that best seats available list button as wellSir Stealth wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 10:11 am Yeah, although they didn’t appear til about 10 past. I got put in the Upper South Stand for this having applied for the Upper and Lower South. Do we reckon it's safe to assume that they 'draw' the names out and then if there's room in the preferred stand then they'll be put there? Then if there's no room and they've not checked that button about not being open to sitting elsewhere then they'll be put in another part of the ground. Although I could easily see Everton overcomplicating things
