Got a big buyout clause apparently. Don't know why he'd want to go to that absolute bampot of an owner anyway.

I don't think Silva will kick up a fuss. Same thing we tried to do when he was at Watford and he ended up getting sacked because their results completely fell off a cliff after it. Probably learned a lesson there.
Speaking of parallels, we settled for Allardyce and Forest and going for Dyche. Good times.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Dyche was a Forest youth player plus I would assume he would have Ian Woan as his assistant again and he was a Forest player for about 10 years, so they have a connection to the club already.
On Marco Silva, didn’t he manage Olympiakos and help them win a title so perhaps he would get on better with Marinakis.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Yes, you are right about his record at Burnley it was the best anyone could do in the circumstances and he was good for us for 18 months.777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Sun Oct 19, 2025 8:32 am I think its really unfair. Dyche is a hero at Burnley. Kept burnley up 6 years while making regular profit on transfers which helped transform the clubs facilities. He also had two good seasons with us (given the circumstances) though there was awful runs in that time.
The issue isn't so much his record its the spectacular way the wheels came off in that final season with us. It was beyond inept. Id be extremely worried that the most recent evidence is the most relevant if I was a forest fan.
On top of everything else forest have spent 200m and are in Europe. Dyche seems a miserable appointment even if they get the best version
I am probably just unduly influenced by the way things finished at both clubs.

Big Moshiri manager search vibes from this one which is consistent with Edu/Joorabchian.
Waiting for a late push for Koeman or Rafa here.

Looks like it according to reports. Not sure hes up to any job now. Out of date and toxic
Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Can people really see Dyche turning things around with Europe involved as well? I had a look at the one time he was in Europe and how it went:
9 Aug - Istanbul Basaksehir A - Drew 0-0
12 Aug - Southampton A - Drew 0-0
16 Aug - Istanbul Basaksehir H - Won 1-0 AET
19 Aug - Watford H - Lost 1-3
23 Aug - Olympiacos A - Lost 1-3
26 Aug - Fulham A - Lost 2-4
30 Aug - Olympiacos H - Drew 1-1
2 Sept - Man United H - Lost 0-2
If he goes in at Forest then it's straight off the bat:
Porto H
Bournemouth A
Man United H
Sturm Graz A
Leeds H
Liverpool A
9 Aug - Istanbul Basaksehir A - Drew 0-0
12 Aug - Southampton A - Drew 0-0
16 Aug - Istanbul Basaksehir H - Won 1-0 AET
19 Aug - Watford H - Lost 1-3
23 Aug - Olympiacos A - Lost 1-3
26 Aug - Fulham A - Lost 2-4

2 Sept - Man United H - Lost 0-2

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Seems like a very strange appointment to make in October. I'd maybe understand if it were Jan and they were still in the relegation places but there has to be better options available that don't scream panic stations.
Don't get me wrong, I'm eternally grateful to Dyche for the first 18 months, but he's not an October appointment and Forest actually have a very good squad for a more desirable manager to work with surely?

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Be interesting to see how he does.
Think the pressure there is massive given who the owner is.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Forest are flirting with the PSR line again, and now they have to pay out Nuno and Ange, so they needed to get a free agent (unless they sell players in January).
Also this dickhead lives in Nottingham and it's his wet dream to manage them.
Most of their fans are up in arms about it, but there's like 20% of old heads who are trying to convince themselves that he's exactly what they need, he'll sort a few egos out and ''football has become too soft'' and all that regressive shit.

Most of the comments on the forum i read seem quite positive about it. Id fucking love it if they got relegated. Think they are in serious psr trouble just by the amount they've spent. Must be plenty of players regretting choosing forest in the summer
