David Moyes
Re: David Moyes
Agreed. Keane has been solid but he makes us sit so far back, which isn’t great when we don’t have a natural sitter in front of him.
Re: David Moyes
We didn't sit back against Spurs though, even at 0-0 we had a super high line with both Tarks and Keane on the halfway line often with one inside their half.
The full back issue is far more of a problem and the fact the ball doesn't stick to the striker the biggest probably of all as means we spend a lot of time conceding possession which immediately pushes us back.
Watching Newcastle Vs Spurs last night I saw Richarlison take a direct pass down in one touch and then spread it out wide and it felt like watching witchcraft compared to Beto.

That's exactly what i've said on another thread, the two fullbacks and the striker situation is killing us.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 30, 2025 1:23 pm We didn't sit back against Spurs though, even at 0-0 we had a super high line with both Tarks and Keane on the halfway line often with one inside their half.

Nothing against Job, it's not his fault but he has to be replaced at sunderland on monday, weather it's Coleman or Garner dropping back let's do it.
Mykolenko is not such a straightforward situation to fix, i think we're stuck until January.
Alcaraz has to come in as well, just someone to drive at the opposition.
It needs to be shaken up, because even after just 9 games things are starting to look a little stale already
