New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I noticed Beto didn't kneel. Think it's ran it's course now anyway, like any kind of protest when something gets done a lot or feels a little forced after a while then they need to think of some thing new to keep it fresh.

It’s completely pointless.
Just virtue signalling isn’t it.

I agree with it being pretty useless. It doesn't stop the racism. I'm not surprised some of the black players don't kneel. Must be horrible to know it's just lip service. I know Zaha was a big player against taking the knee a few years ago.
Was horrid to hear the boos from our crowd though.

It is but I doubt the fans are booing because of that reason

I gave it a boo, but I’am a massive racist to be fair.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 5:14 pm It is but I doubt the fans are booing because of that reason![]()
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I was in the Top Balcony last season for the Arsenal match and there a few boos and shouts of "Bring back racism", so definitely happened at Goodison. They also got told to fuck off tbfAudrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 5:07 pm Forgot to ask, last weekend, why did people boo the taking of the knee??
Almost started an argument with a couple of old pricks sat behind me actually, booing and telling them to stand up
Grim. And never noticed that at goodison when it's been done.
Think Ram was in the Top Balc that day actually

I'm with you on this mate, I questioned it loads when all the seats were in and there was zero personalisation.Shogun wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 1:01 pm I suppose Spurs' is the same in that regard. I'd just like it to feel like the stadium belongs to Everton given the lack of blue on the outside. There're only a couple of Everton crests that have been stuck on the both ends of the East Stand that tell you it's Everton's stadium and your eyes don't see those because of the massive HILL DICKINSON STADIUM in the middle.
Putting EFC on the South Stand doesn't feel like it's asking for much? Don't see what the negative of it would be.
It's a huge stadium but as a non match going fan (so can't appreciate it fully) it seems like it lacks identity when watching on the telly.
You think we'd be so proud of the place we'd use every opportunity to scream to the world THIS IS OURS!

The country''s drift towards the right wing and the sort of 'common sense' push back against perceived 'wokeness'.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 5:07 pm Forgot to ask, last weekend, why did people boo the taking of the knee??

At the Newcastle match against Fulham I was in the family section with my 10 year old... Someone in the seat behind me started booing and then shouted 'fuck the cunts!'.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Nov 02, 2025 5:07 pm Forgot to ask, last weekend, why did people boo the taking of the knee??

I wanted to say something especially given it's the family section but didn't want to get in an argument so just turned round and gave the guy a proper dad stare which I think did the trick just as well tbf.
I guess though with it being Newcastle there's every chance he thinks taking the knee is in respect of horses, so in that case I do understand his outburst
