Gana and Illi off to Afcon in a few weeks, he’ll get plenty of play.

To be fair to Moyes he saw what Summerville did to Big Jake and didn’t fancy him up against Kevin. It was the right switch and Garner offers more going forward too.

When Röhl came on we moved to 433, not sure about before then

I didn't think we were playing 4-3-3 tbh, looked like 4-2-3-1 to me but I was watching it on a not amazing resolution and a fairly small tv

I was hoping we'd see Dibbling with that late sub, I think Charly was still on the naughty step for not passing against Sunderland.

Wasn’t having a go just thought he was fairly anonymous today

Imagine how much better we could be with a good left back bombing on taking the second marker away from Jack

Gana was defo deeper than the other two and Tim was making mad darts beyond the lines.

433 imo.

Just having a physical player around Gana allows him to rest that tiny bit in terms of doing all the grafting. And I think that benefitted Hall as well.

When Röhl came on Moyes motioned to them to drop into 3

Best performance of the season by a mile that. In large part due to Barry's work at centre forward, but all round positive

Garner is a better footballer than O’Brien. It is bound to work better. Means we can genuinely attack down both flanks.

I only saw it in real time, no replays, but the impression I got from the Alcaraz chance was that an earlier, long-range effort looked the better option to me at the time as the keeper was way out.

I thought he was for most of the game honestly. There were times he dropped deeper to help cover or to track one of their players though, and in the last 20 it almost became a 3 without the highest player helping the striker to press.
