New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I don't think it will be long before they do away with the ballot and go back to the way it was before where members will get priority access to tickets, they'll need to keep both tiers for this season but it'll be one tier next season then general sale I would think. Ballot for big games like the derby maybe but that'll be about it.

Fun fact, I'm in that picture. Albeit with my hand over my face

Oh the trains.
I got to moorfields at half seven after going for a drink and picking up a chop chop and was told all the northern line trains were cancelled or delayed because of the match.
It finished two and a half hours ago.
Utter shambles. Luckily a headbolt lane train appeared as I got off at Sandhills even though it said they were all cancelled then it sat there for 20 minutes at Kirkdale.

I was in central at about 7 and it was heaving. Stopping people from coming through the barriers because there were too many people on the platform. Delayed and 'out of service' trains all over the shop.
God knows what it was like at Sandhills after the game.
I get the races were on but it's not acceptable really.

Had to dart up at moorfields to go the toilet on the way back (had taken me near an hour from Sandhills at this point).
On the way back down the escalator had broke, the elevator was only able to take 2 people or it said it was overloaded so wouldn't close the door and staff were telling people to get out and walk to Old Hall Street

I take your points, but think when guidelines for adult play is near as possible to 100m between goallines, especially in an international game I just think its a bit poor. (not that I'm from League territory anyway).
94 is apparently miminum for Union so hopefully we'll get a few of their games.
I'm not sure how other sports would take it, would NFL be happy with less than 120 yards total? It's not like it would have been as bad as the Hammers stadium to accomodate it.
Presume you'd be familiar with Clarke and Dawe even if this was likely before your time here.![]()
Anyway, the game was considered a roaring success by all parties and I'm sure we'll be seeing more, regardless if Fox Sports have a cob on about pitch markings.

He's a west brom fan I believe.
Always has good things to say about us, reckons we have the best away support.
