Tim fluffed his chance to open the scoring just before Gana did, but how often when playing centre mid do you see James Garner ready to get on the end of a loose ball in the box?
To be fair to Garner, he's free and poised at the top of the box quite often to receive a Grealish square ball, before firing one in on target.
Much prefer our chances with a shot at goal from Garner, than Tim who unfortunately never seems to be able to find his feet when near the goal.

I think he’s an average midfielder and I haven’t seen anything to prove me wrong on that.
Average is fine though. I look forward to the day we don’t have to play this lad every game.
Oh he is up to average now in your book a year ago he was shit in your book , give it to this time next year and you will be on the same page as the rest of us , then will you fuck up about this crap , you called it wrong about him and got called out FFS get over it

Mate him being average is hardly a minority view. The lads being used as a utility player in a team that screams for a holding midfielder. Hiya versatility makes him a good signing but he's not outstanding in any area
One of the weirdest players we've had in terms of the fans views of him.
Not so much on here but more twitter etc I think people project the sort of midfielder they wish he was onto him. You see comparisons to Peter Reid, he's our best player, should be playing for England and all that absolutely baffles me.
He's average at best and both the stats and eye test confirm it.
It's not a bad thing I don't think and he's deffo having a good season, I'm very grateful we bought him and he's been great value. But does he go on to bigger and better things no probably not really.
