Onana joins Trabzonspor on loan

Awful keeper at an awful club, but still has as many trophies in his two seasons as Arteta has from five in charge of Arsenal :snigger:

Saw a stat the other day, since Maupay's tweet we've won more games than he's played in. 🙂

He's only made one sub appearance this season.

It's rare that I feel sorry for a Liverpool player but Harvey Elliot has been hard done by this season. Liverpool obviously wanted rid in the summer but the weird loan deal with Villa where if they play him 10 times they have to buy him for £35m has screwed him.

Villa won't play him as they don't want to buy him but he can't play for anyone else this season as Liverpool already played him for 1 minute off the bench before they sent him on loan to Villa and you can't play for more than two teams in a season.

He's by no means an amazing player but he's a solid PL level player who is losing a year of his career at 22 when game time is really important to kick on because of mismanagement.

I’d take him…think I stated that in the pre season transfer thread…

If you're going to be stuck at Villa for a season, not having to play for them is some solace at least.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

Semenyo with a sixty five million release fee for the first two weeks of Jan - the shite are somehow going to end up getting roughly that amount for a year old Salah and replace him with Semenyo aren’t they?

Surely liverpool and villa could come to a compromise. Its not in anyone's interests him not being available at all.

Its a bit like the ali deal in what seems to be a decent deal originally ends up tying everyone's hands.

He can still play for Liverpool though and help them in their relegation battle?

Can’t see it, Arsenal already have Saka/Madueke for RW and City have Foden/Savinho/Cherki
