Not his fault but it’s very much more of the same when he replaces Grealish.
Is that a bad thing?

Hi mate been a few comments in the thread you might have missed them. These contrarians need bringing down a leg or two, have at em!

Complete waste of a lot of money. He may well grow into a lovely footballer in time but he isn’t what we need in that team now or in the near future. Absolutely no idea what the recruitment team were thinking when the manager said ‘We desperately need quality at full backs and pace up top’.

As statement signings go, they failed the first one.

Cheers.

I wouldn't say it was a statement signing (I know its not the comment I've quote).. we've just invested in a talented youngster and not given him a proper chance yet, but the two he needs to displace are Ndiaye and Grealish.

Although disappointed that McNeil has been used ahead of him in games.

He's 19 like.

Moyes the other day was talking about players he's bought from lower leagues/smaller clubs and they barely get a game in the first 6 months, and it's a long term process getting them upto the level and in the team - players like Baines and Coleman, for example.

Opportunities will come when they come and he's got loads of time ahead of him to work his way into the team. Training with better players than he's used to at Southampton and trying to get into a better team will do him plenty of good in understanding what he needs to do to improve. Clearly has a lot of talent to work with, which is the main thing.

In terms of his demeanour, he's obviously quite a shy lad who's a long way from home. There's room for different personality types in a squad. Hopefully his confidence will grow and he'll come out of himself more as time passes.

I love him. Very gentle demeanor.

Recon he will be close to Rohl as he also seems quiet

They will both get on with Baines too.

No interest in your views sorry, just looking for you to have a go at everyone else commenting on him as a player! You missed some!

Looking forward to watching him next week tbh, hoping he starts . Definitely needs some game time . He’s a long term investment rather than a short term one

He might come good, you never know, but if somone said to me now Sothampton were accepting returns to invest £40m in other areas of the squad, I'd snap your hand off.
