January Transfer Window
Re: January Transfer Window
We've just got to get rid of Beto this January. He's not scoring and everything else he does is pretty much awful. He's coming on as a sub and making things worse. Considering he's replacing Barry then the bar isn't that high to begin with.
Even if it's Toney, we just need a striker who'll give us the basics of a Premier League striker.

Re: January Transfer Window
I’m sorry a three syllable word is too much for me to handle. You’re talking about removing creases from clothes, right? You’re going to need to dumb it down for the rest of us to keep up.
EDIT: Andy I shouldn’t have called you a crank. It was immature and I apologise. I was genuinely trying to lighten it up a bit because imo the convo was verging on ridiculous (from the idea we’d make Europe to the idea that we’d politely decline). I shouldn’t have brought you into that directly and I doubt you were purposefully implying what I got my back up in the first place.

Re: January Transfer Window
We're not even 6 months into a rebuild yet we sit in 10th place.
I will gladly take 10th this season on circa 55 points. It represents good progress.
One or two additional loans in Jan should hopefully cement that for us and perhaps finishing one or two places even further up.
Europe might just be short for us this year but next season with the addition of 3 or 4 more first teamers absolutely.

It's hard to base much on how anyone is doing for them this season tbf. I think given they're definitely going down and he did well last season I'd consider him in the summer.
Don't want any bad eggs in the team but I wouldn't totally rule out anyone who seems unmotivated in that squad given the absolute horror show that they are.
Re: January Transfer Window
Get your point but like he seems to be the one Wolves fans are digging out more than anyone, so it's a bit more of a risk despite his record in previous seasons. I'm not sure we could afford him this January anyway, think he cost Wolves quite a bit.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 10:45 am It's hard to base much on how anyone is doing for them this season tbf. Re: January Transfer Window
Didn’t he sit the game against us out cos he was hoping to leave in the transfer window, weeks after signing permanently for them?
Re: January Transfer Window
Yeah definitely a potential summer signing rather than Jan.
Seems a good Moyes profile striker, tall, strong and premier league experienced.
If he does genuinely have a shit attitude though and it's not just a mix of not getting his move to Newcastle in the summer and playing for potentially the worst team in premier league history then I agree not a good fit.
Re: January Transfer Window
You could honestly have Henrik Larsen up there we would look identical, surely we all recognise this by now

I don't think it represents any progress since last season under moyes. We've bought a load of players who cant contribute and are going at the same rate we did before the window. It represents a missed opportunity.
