I think it’s one of those where if he gives it VAR doesn’t overturn but equally so once he hasn’t given it VAR won’t overturn the other way either.

I think the right decision was probably penalty but it’s no obvious IMO

One shot on target from us according to Live Score - what was it?!

Xg 0.2 from us- piss poor!

As many have said this one wasn’t one that we expected anything out of. Hoping we bounce back with a win against Burnley but we’re gonna have to see some massively improved performances

That was absolutely toothless last night

I get we had some key players out but we didn't even want to get into positions to score all game. Few minutes left and Rohl set off on a run up the pitch and the camera panned out to most of the team half-arsed ambling to catch up. We simply don't have enough athletes in this squad. Lots of joggers and no sprinters.

That was totally unacceptable, I couldn’t believe what I was watching.

That could come from the coach.

Yeh. Let's not lose 0-2 lads, a 0-1 defeat looks more respectable.

To be fair to some of them, I think they were absolutely exhausted at that point after spending the whole game chasing shadows.

Were they? I wouldn't say Arsenal gave us the run around. It was just a pretty bland game, nothing really happened for both sides, it wasn't like Man v Bournemouth or Newcastle v Chelsea. I reckon most neutrals would have been bored with how little happened so I don't think exhaustion would be a factor after a week off.

We looked out of energy and out of ideas. Arsenal are a very good side though, theyre not exciting but really efficient at keeping the ball and snuffing out attacks before they mount to anything. Can see them winning it this year.

Fair point, it was a bland game, they werent ripping us apart, it's more that we spent long spells without the ball, reacting rather than winning it back. They just kept it moving and kept us moving to gradually tire us out and grind us down.

Chasing shadows may not be the right turn of phrase?

Four very winnable matches next
Yeah, nothing happened last night that i wasn't expecting.
We simply can't be playing these with our best players missing, though i would have loved to have had a crack at them with a full team, the game came a week or two too late for that

Because it’s Everton……here’s the thing why VAR didn’t review that but did review the “foul” grealish made when he stood on one of their players toes…..
Says it all…

Wasn’t a pen for me, we’d be pissed if that was given in our box.

Oh lord, won’t you buy me a feckin right back,
My friends all have good ones- who defend and attack,
Mine work hard but can’t cross it, and don’t overlap,
Oh lord, won’t you buy me a feckin right back
