Mental club.
Fair play to the lads that stepped up Rohl, McNeil and Patterson were good today. Garner was superb.

Always fancied this today.
They’re not that great, and moyes has the formula away from home.
That’s two goals conceded in our last five away games and we’ve won four of them.
Rohl was brilliant today. Nice to see that performance from him.
Barry is getting it all together as well. Won everything in the air, great finish.
Grealish just the calm we needed when it got frantic and put in one hell of a shift for us.
Patterson sound at right back.
Pickford is world class.

Buzzing with that!
Happy to leave Patto at right back, O’Brien at centre back and fully support minutes being given to Armstrong, Röhl and Barry

So many deserve praise today but the benefit of having JOB at centre half instead of right back is massive. He's a centre half all day long.

That was an absolutely stunning performance and result that was beyond my wildest dreams, never saw that coming and it was fully deserved.
The win of the season for me, i know it was a great performance at old trafford to win with 10 men, but with the quality of villa and having won their last 11 home games this was better.
So proud of every single one of them

Really good performance, thought everyone contributed. Barry seemed to be much more considered in his flicks so linked play much better, hes obviously a quality finisher too
Patterson did fine definitely making a strong case for being our best right back now. Rohls best game too.
Im the worst for it but its so easy to revert back to the despair of the last few yesrs when we play badly. Lot of pride in days like today

Oh that wasn’t a criticism.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Sun Jan 18, 2026 6:19 pm I mean he’s not wrong - not even Beto knows what Beto is trying to do with a football
Fully understand why the lad said nah on that.
Re: Aston Villa v Everton (The CannockPricey Derby)
Probably have given Barry MoTM today, his knock down that led to McNeil's effort before his goal which was a wonderful finish, also the knock down for Rohl's early chance. In between he was a colosus in the air and his link up play was great. He needs a full season but he is getting there for sure.

When we went 2-0 there last year I turned to my mate and said I’d bite your hand off for a draw.
Now we’ve outplayed them with a 1-0 with half the team out.
I think we all forget just how far we’ve come in the last year.
We’re a proper football club now.

Surely Moyes won't go back to JOB at right back, love the guy bit i think he would have stuck if Keane hadn't got suspended.

Great win.
Didn’t see it.
I cooked us all chicken Alfredo with tagliatelle from scratch.
Even the youngest two dug it.
Having my patented power porridge
2002 for dessert now.

You could mention every player and praise them for their performance today. It was absolutely outstanding to a man. Garner gets MOTM because he was an unstoppable beast in the centre but I thought the supporting cast were unbelievably consistent and didn’t put a foot wrong.
It wasn’t a sit back and park the bus performance either. Going forwards we were a threat and I think that’s what unsettled Villa. Rohl and Armstrong were a menace in the press and counter. I shouted once or twice at Rohl to let the ball go earlier but he just kept going with his energy and dynamism.
And what to say about Armstrong other than we have a player on our hands. 18 years old? He isn’t going anywhere for the remainder of the season and looks at home in our midfield.
Patto had the best game in an Everton shirt, and Barry scored a delightful little chip, following in as all good strikers do on a loose ball.
I can’t say it’s the best win of the season because that Old Trafford 1-0 was something special with 10 men, but it was certainly the best away performance of the season.
