Decent game today, still offers nothing going forward but was solid and reliable... I'll take that until the summer if we can't get anyone in this window.

Solid game. Makes a complete mockery of the recent games we threw away by dumping him to the bench after the Forest win.

Keep playing him, he will only get better. We are so much better with a right back playing right back. Shocking really.

Also rooting for him.

He’s one of those who I think could’ve become a serviceable PL right back with regular games but he (1) came to a team in a batshit situation and (2) had injury problems. Not playing has been death to his career.

Definitely nice to watch a natural right back over O’Brien. I’m willing to accept the moments where he gets dragged out of position trying to close down a lost cause just for the natural passing ability along the sidelines and the ability to put in a decent cross when we make space on that flank.

Great to hear so many people saying he had a descent/solid game. As for going forward, I didn’t see the game (obviously- we won it), but I’d be pretty certain that his instructions from Moyes away from home would be very conservative for a young, inexperienced PL fullback.

Let’s wait and see what he’s like at home by the end of the season. He’s got it in him - I just know he has!

I love his attitude more than anything. He has had a really tough time here and to see him come in and perform so well is fantastic.

I have no idea what the future holds for him and whether it will be here but he has certainly given himself a chance.

If he can stay fit and get a good run in the team he will have a chance to make the World Cup squad for Scotland whether that’s here or elsewhere remains to be seen I can see Moyes moving Jake back to rb when Jared or Keane are available
