Probably, I feel like a lot of teams competing for that 8th place will probably think the same about themselves though. One of us will have to get there!

I don't think anyone's that consistent this season, Arsenal haven't won in three, Man City three draws and a loss in their last six, Chelsea two draws, two losses in their last six, Liverpool four draws and a loss, there's inconsistency all the way down the table with no one building up a head of steam and going on a decent run.

Think a few will pull away , but it will go down to the last few games just like last season....

Think 4,5,6 will also be up for grabs but probably tge teams who populate them places now ......

We need to do a Villa , very big longshot

Yeah most people would say all those 4 below us and Sunderland are better teams and/or have better managers and yet they're below us for a reason and none look like putting a run of form together.

Can't see us finishing ahead of Newcastle regardless of how far they go in Europe.

Fulham and Brentford are not better sides than us.

Palace to go into free-fall?

Away at Forest this weekend - relegation beckons!

Not allowing myself to get too hopeful with this tbh. Treating it as a very nice and unexpected outcome if it happens. Just think, as someone mentioned a few posts back, we aren’t quite there yet and too inconsistent but I’d be delighted if they prove me wrong

Win away at the weekend and we are still in amongst it. The middle group of about 10 teams will drop a lot of points between them so we just have to take care of what we do.

And, frustratingly, that's what we don't do!

We are 100% in the race. I don’t think we will get there but it’s absolutely brilliant to even be in the running. There are teams far better equipped but if we can keep our first XI broadly fit between now and the end of the season, we have a real chance.

I don't think we're favourites by any means but a 3-5 game purple patch where a few bounces and decisions go your way and anybody can grab those 7th or 8th spots.

If Gana's shot had gone in rather than coming back off the bar we're sat in 7th and talking about outside chances of CL

Brighton away is huge. Get a good result there and it will put us in a decent position
