Yeah, I’d like to see him central, don’t think Moyes would try that, thoughAjaxAndy wrote: ↑Tue Jan 27, 2026 4:34 pm I think that was more to do with Leeds dropping super deep and trying to protect a goal advantage than much else tbh.
I wouldn't be against a 3 at the back, but I wouldn't be playing Dibling as a right wing back. I think we'd have been better off putting him in the 10 tbh, Armstrong is clearly talented but not creative enough to play that role... Would be worth a try at least.

Re: David Moyes
One day maybe, but he’s not there yet. There’d be nowhere to hide centrally and even less time on the ball, so let’s build him up a bit first.sam of the south wrote: ↑Tue Jan 27, 2026 6:07 pm Yeah, I’d like to see him central, don’t think Moyes would try that, though

Re: David Moyes
If we don't sign anybody then I'd honestly look at going with Branthwaite as a super defensive left back and Patterson as an attacking RB to provide width. Put faith in Dibling and give him games asking him to drift inside whilst Patterson bombs on, going to a back three when we're attacking using O'Brien and Branthwaite as the wide CBs to use their pace to cover until we're back in shape. So on and off the ball would look like:
McNeil could do the same "drifting inside" role that Dibling would play and you could also have the option of Myko instead of Branthwaite as the LB/LCB. Rotate midfield as desired but we look way better with twin eights.
It would also let us overload the right before switching to Ndiaye 1vs1 where he can beat his man.

Re: David Moyes
just based on the fact if he stayed on in the second half there would have been a riot.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 28, 2026 12:05 pm Based on what?
I'd love it to be true but I don't see it
Re: David Moyes
Moyes has hooked him at half time twice in the last four games. Given that before injuries, suspensions and AFCON he clearly didn't fancy him it's hard to see he'll get much more game time now that most are back.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 28, 2026 12:05 pm Based on what?
