It's his inclination to tinker with winning formulas which annoys the fanbase. We don't concede goals and we don't lose games with a centre half pairing of Tarkowski and JOB. It works, for whatever reason, but it works.
Thing is though, if you don't tinker, your team will be found out pretty quickly. Every single move of every single player is analysed to the death by all the other teams, so as a manager you've got no option than to keep tweaking your team all the time.
Now we may say this or that change was a bad idea but that's a different thing.

Moyesy being in charge takes me back to his first stint when I was still at school/uni. Dad and I would watch the games at Goodison, listen on the radio or even check Ceefax back in the day. We'd celebrate together and he'd talk me down when we lost. Everton weren't perfect at the time, we had our shortcomings and glass ceilings but we were perennial European candidates and knocking on the door.
Well, my Dad's not here any more, we've left Goodison and the players don't have that same aura. Despite this, I feel more engaged than I have for a long while - and it's largely down to David Moyes being our manager again. He's redoubled my emotional connection with Everton, at a time when supporting them hasn't been easy - and when a lot of what made my Everton experience special is no longer here.
Oh yeah, it's undoubtedly sentimental. But I do believe he's the best fit for us. We're frustrating almost every week, but it does feel like we're on the verge of something great. He'll get it wrong sometimes but he genuinely cares about the club and wants to get it right.
I feel safe with him. I trust him to build us up. I trust him to have us back as a regular top-half/European team again. I trust him to navigate stormy waters and turn things round, as he did last year. We're 9th in the league - that would've been absolutely unimaginable at any point in the last however many seasons. He's given us resolve and identity. 10 away wins in a year - have we even had 10 wins in the last 10 years?!
Sorry for the ramble, gone down a bit of a rabbit hole there! It's just nice to have a bit of stability for the first time in years and I, for one, wouldn't be in a hurry to jack it all in.

Agreed. They will probably have access to same data we all do, which indicates we look a lot weaker both defensively and offensively when we play our big centre half at full back and replace him with a slow centre half prone to mistakes. Not sure by tweaking this he's fooling anyone.
Only real issue i have is armstrong playing right wing infront of any of our right back options. Thats never going to work
Branthwaite didnt play because we dont want him playing full games after the injury. Patterson is okay but im really not sure hes better than o brien. Mykolenko is our best left back

And I think he's also saying I don't rate my other options so this is what I'm going with. Same goes with full back
No we’re not just hanging in games and trying to nick it.
We’re trying to win from the off, although it might not always look like it.
I don’t want to talk about relegation I want to come on here an say we’re going to have a go at getting into Europe.
