2020 their revenue was about £130m - for last year it was £450m.
2020 our revenue was was £186m - for last year it was £234m.

Agreed. Was always going to be a journey to get us back to a decent place again on and off the park. Satisfied with how it’s gone so farEscalator wrote:“They’ve done nothing more than elevate us above the status of perennial relegation fodder”
Well that’s not bad for their first 12 months in charge, add to that re financing of short term debt which was costing us £1m per month in interest in their first quarter, securing events like the RL Ashes test, Rl Super Weekend, Brazil v Scotland match plus other events in the first year of an unproven stadium is no mean achievement
Overall I’m more than satisfied with them.

Completely agree with this.Escalator wrote: ↑Wed Feb 04, 2026 9:11 am “They’ve done nothing more than elevate us above the status of perennial relegation fodder”

we are only 14 points behind our total for the entirety of last season.
Season after season we've been in a fight to beat the drop...
Under TFG we are not battling relegation. JB, Garner and Pickford have signed new deals, cash was splashed and we got Jack Grealish on loan.

Re: The Friedkin Group
Think you have to say its been pretty good so far. The new manager has outperformed the last 1. Weve spent money. Weve put on/got some events coming up at the stadium. Weve had progress. Still think there's some questions on the recruitment we did make but we will have to see over numerous windows
Re: The Friedkin Group
I'd suggest this has probably been one of your favourite windows in recent times?777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Wed Feb 04, 2026 7:49 pm Think you have to say its been pretty good so far. Not even saying that as a dig. But you seem so fed up of the shite that's walked through the door that "refusing to buy for the sake of buying" must seem like a breath of fresh air to you.

I've no real problem with us not signing more this window but a year with these fullbacks is a big question mark on their judgement.

Re: The Friedkin Group
happy with the progress so far and we have to be patient
after spending the last 4 years nearly going out of business
its baby steps
now we are looking to try and finish 7th - 8th in the prem
and looking at some quality investments in the summer transfer window according to our position and status

Re: The Friedkin Group
If we continue to make the same progress we have since they took over then I think we'll all be very happy.
We've gone from a broke team relying on payday loans and desperately battling relegation to a mid table team with lots of promising young players, and not only a stable financial footing but a clear plan to continue increasing revenue.
I doubt we'll find ourselves challenging for titles or top 4/5 under the financial restrictions placed on teams, but it wouldn't matter how rich our owners were regarding that. All we can really hope for is competing for the second or third rate European competitors on a regular basis and maybe a cup. If we continue the current rate of progress then theres no reason these things aren't possible in the near future.

Re: The Friedkin Group
Summer 1 - fill the gaping holes as best as possible, currently it's more than holding up.
Summer 2 - sand down those holes, smooth it out, refine it. Close out other holes with temporary plugs in place from summer 1.
Summer 3 - Add a fine layer of paint and monitor throughout.
Summer 2027 will be the time to judge Everton on the footballing side IMO.
